Best Car Buying Experience We've Had! My mom recommended we check out this Subaru dealer and I'm glad we made the trek down to Wichita! Typically buying a car is not what most people would My mom recommended we check out this Subaru dealer and I'm glad we made the trek down to Wichita! Typically buying a car is not what most people would describe as a pleasant experience - having to deal with fake, pushy sales people, worrying if you're getting ripped off, etc. But we actually had a great experience here from start to finish! Sam was easy going, genuine, and never pushy. Plus, he was really knowledgable about the cars and was happy to answer all questions we had. We were able to take our time discussing price with Josh (by the way, they show the invoice from the get go here) and other options and we were really happy with the deal we got. They traded to get the exact car we wanted, and when we came back a week later to pick it up, Sam had us in and out in no time! These guys *actually* know how to make customers feel comfortable and meet their needs without being pushy. We would absolutely recommend you check out this dealership whether you're looking for a Subaru or not! More

First, they claim to be different from other dealers because their salespeople aren't commissioned. What they do instead is team salespeople up on you, so that someone is with you at all times. My husband didn't get any privacy to discuss our pending purchase until we specifically asked all three of our salespeople to leave. Second, we specifically went to Subaru, because we were looking for a Lexus CT200h, and they had one of 3 for sale within a 100 mile radius of our home. We researched the car beforehand and knew what we wanted. When we got there, we were told the cars previous owners came from Hawaii and that's why it had lower than average miles. What they didn't tell us was that the car was manufactured specifically for Hawaii, did not include all of the standard features that the CT200h's produced for the mainland U.S. have, and that we would have VIN number and warranty issues. We found out later that the Car Fax they gave also wasn't accurate because it did not show the service history from Hawaii. We did not find out about these issues with the car until we took it to Lexus of Wichita. Our car was in the shop for 7 of the first 21 days we owned it while Lexus of Wichita figured out that it was a Hawaiian Lexus and that the car's VIN number was not in their system. We spent many, many hours on the phone with Lexus and Subaru trying to resolve these issues. Subaru insisted that they were going to work with us, because "they don't cultivate those types of relationships". They even called aftermarket installers on our behalf to determine how much it would cost to have XM radio installed (one of the missing standard features and something I specifically asked about before purchasing). I asked many times to speak with a manager or decision maker in dealing with our Team Leader, John Muir, and that request was only granted twice in the 3 months we tried working with them. Each of the two individuals I was allowed to speak with eventually told me they were not in a position to give us a resolution either. They believe that the car's value is not affected by these issues. In fact, John Muir stated several times that something like XM doesn't affect the car's value, that they value cars on mechanical soundness and condition. Our sales team spent the whole evening we were there buying the car talking about their Christian values and what a good organization they were, but when it came time to step up and walk the walk, they refused. Although the dealership did not have the exact model I wanted, Jesse and the rest of the team worked to find the perfect model for me. Jesse went above and beyond to answer all of my questions. I am thoroughly pleased with my experience at Subaru of Wichita. This is the third new car I have purchsed, but it was my first time dealing with the folks at Subaru of Wichita. It was my best car buying experience by far. More

John was professional yet friendly, made every effort to find the car with desired options and price we desired. We appreciated his efficiency and service and demonstration of the vehicle. We drove nearly 200 miles each way to buy the car from John, we will return when we purchase our next vehicle. More
Subaru of Wichita Experience We began the process of looking at a vehicle 2 weeks prior to buying our first Subaru. After visiting many dealerships, it was refreshing to walk into We began the process of looking at a vehicle 2 weeks prior to buying our first Subaru. After visiting many dealerships, it was refreshing to walk into a dealership that did not pressure us to buy anything right away. We were able to test drive several vehicles on our first visit with John Goldsmith. He was very knowledgable about the different vehicles and packages, but more importantly he treated us like real people rather than just treating us like another sale. He created a comfortable atmosphere with casual conversation. He was able to answer all of our questions honestly, and when we decided to leave he gave us his card, and allowed us to leave without any pressure to buy that day. He did a follow up contact via text message just to remind us that if we decided to return he would be happy to help, but he again, did not pressure us to buy. After visiting several other dealerships, our decision to return to Subaru of Wichita rested upon our experience with John Goldsmith and the quality of the Subaru vehicles. He was patient and willing to work with us as we visited and test drove a few more cars. We still were not sure we were ready to buy, and he allowed us to leave without any pressure to buy that day. Again, we visited other dealerships, but none gave quite the experience as Subaru. We returned to Subaru of Wichita the next day after contacting John Goldsmith that we were ready to buy. He told us he would set aside time to help us with the process. We all went through the lot to determine the vehicle that would best suit our needs. Once we decided on a vehicle, John Goldsmith and Josh Krause, sat down with us to discuss numbers. Needless to say, we did not reach an agreement that both parties were comfortable with. On our way out, John Goldsmith took the time to discuss the different vehicle options without pressure. We told John that we may not be ready for a Subaru and left the lot. Fortunately, 30 minutes later, John Goldsmith called us back and wanted to see if they could earn our business by giving them one more shot. At this time, we sat down with John Goldsmith and John Muir, to discuss different options that had not been discussed prior. At this point, we were put on the right track to find the perfect Subaru for us that would fit within our price point. It was a long process that had us going back and forth between cars, but both associates remained patient as we continued to find the right Subaru for us. During this whole process, we needed to go home and let our dog out as he had been in his crate for several hours. John Goldsmith was gracious enough to offer us a free ride to our house to let our dog out, so we could continue negotiations. The above and beyond support we received from Goldsmith and Muir was uncharacteristic of the several other dealerships we visited. While we always knew that Subarus were extremely great vehicles, the experience we received at this dealership "sealed the deal." They were able to work with us through the 9 hours of negotiation while remaining patient, understanding, and conscious of our needs. We are pleased to say that we purchased our first Subaru Outback and We Love It! More

They Very friendly and helpful staff. Our main contact was Samuel Cheyney. I can't say enough. Samuel was awesome. As was the rest of the staff. They care about you as a person and are all very knowledgeable in the vehicles they sell. They want to make your car buying experience a great one, and they did!! Subaru should be very proud to have a dealership like this location respresenting them. Our car buying experience could not have gone any better. They spent time with us in every step of the way to make sure we "drove home happy". They worked hard in getting us the best loan they could, which was alot better than other places I checked. We have tried to purchase vehicles in Wichita before and ended up walking out of the dealership. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Subaru of Wichita for your next car purchase. More

I test drove a 2014 Subaru WRX Hatchback at a dealer locally, Denver, but they did not have the trim level that I wanted. In fact there wasn't one remaining in the state. I went online and found one 500 miles away in Wichita. I called them up and spoke to Tyler. It took about 30 minutes on the phone to secure the car and begin the purchasing process. The car was already on sale so there was not any haggling over the price. I simply put down a small deposit and then waited for the dealer to receive the car (the car was still in transit). Once they received the car they overnighted the paper work. I filled out the paper work and returned it in the post marked envelope. They then processed the paper work, and set up the delivery date. The delivery of the vehicle was FREE. A few days later I received my car at my house. Brand new car, good low price, great low payments, and free shipping. I couldn't be any happier with my buying experience and all it took was a 30 minute phone call, not spending hours in a dealer. More
Second car purchase, from a trusted dealership! Going into this review a few things need to be noted, i am a soldier from ft Riley. Every time i decide i want to head down there it takes me 2 hours Going into this review a few things need to be noted, i am a soldier from ft Riley. Every time i decide i want to head down there it takes me 2 hours and a total of 118 miles. It is the most boring drive with nothing to look at. I know that when i pay that toll and get off at the exit i'm in for an experience. There is a total of 5 dealerships that i could have chosen to make my Subaru purchase. I chose this one because of the reviews and my first experience. I am very meticulous and methodical when it comes to doing anything. I personally visited all dealerships in 250 mile radios of my house. To be blunt they are all crap. Subaru of Wichita was the only one i felt like my time was well spent. Immediately from the other places it was a hassle to buy a car and know body wanted to help me. I was judged from the beginning because of what i drove and wasn't worth anyone's time or money. The stance was as if they were better than me because they had something i wanted and they sold cars. To be clique it was the iconic scene from Pretty Woman. Needless to say they were wrong. When i first called i was greeted by none other Than Travis Nebergall. Talk about professional, this is the best dressed and actually caring person that i have ever dealt with on a purchase of this magnitude. He really is passionate and really gives a s@#$ about what i want, ill repeat that for the slower ones reading this ( WHAT I WANT) not what the dealer has to meet a quota or what will look good for him, but my needs. So from the get go we hit it off and enjoyed talking to him and learning from his vast knowledge. I thought i knew all about what i was talking about, but one sit down with this guy and you know he is the real deal. I literally call him all the time just to bs and ask stupid questions whenever i want. Kind of weird but when he sees that i'm calling no matter what hes doing he answers the phone and is ready to help even on the weekends at 8 in the morning, really! I have made things so difficult for him and he never falters on his commitment to his job. I first bought a 2014 Outback, and in the back of my head i knew i would be happy but never happy enough until i got that elusive 2015 STI. So after a long car purchase of my 2014 Outback that i kept for 4 months, i knew it was time to head back to the only Subaru dealership that i trusted. I told Travis what i wanted and he explained the wait and everything involved in the STI in order to get one. He was at work early one day ( i know right that goes back to that caring part that i mentioned earlier) so hes doing is job early and sees this bad boy roll off the truck and starts blowing my phone up telling me to jump on this. I didnt even hesitate because i trusted him and everything he told me. I secured my deposit and the rest was history. The next day i rolled up at 8 which meant i got up at 5:15 got ready and drove my 2 hours that i didn't mind because of the amazing staff and experience. I mean this places serves something awesome on the weekends on Saturdays, always having something good like pizza, burgers, popcorn, and sodas. All you want, Travis always offers me something before he goes and grabs something for himself. Even if he has something already he wont eat it in front of me until he has made the offer himself. Back to the paperwork that was already good to go before i get there. I see the STI and sprint to it and Travis tells me its all ready for me to take home. This thing was so pristine and shiny that you could have eaten off the hood if you wanted to. All the credit cant go to Travis, he is part of a big team that helps each other with there success. Adrian Hicks is the one who broke the finances down on a 5th grade level piece by piece explained all the benefits and extras. As i said before im difficult to deal with and oyu know i had 50 questions halfway through it and kept interrupting him. He didnt even flinch or get frustrated because he is a professional and knows how people are. I made them jump through hoops and rework the paperwork like 3 times because i couldn't decide how much i wanted to put down. In the end it was finished and the car would be mine. Josh Krause was there to wrap it all up and finish it off with pics and wishing me luck. He went way beyond what he was supposed to do as his job. He threw in a few things that came out of his own paycheck. He game me that awesome STI shirt, you know that cool black one that was hanging up once your in the accessorizes dept. Retail cost was 25$ and he saw me eying it up and down so he just gave it to me, class act right? That doesn't even begin to describe it. Remember when i said i had a 2014 Outback that i loved but just didn't get that ooh feeling when i drove it because i knew in the back of mine ill always want the STI. It was a big debate in the Terry household and a lot of kissing up to the wife to make a dream happen. During the car purchase he asked me what my plans were for the weekend. And i bs u not, out of his own money he put a thank you note in the glove box with a brand new 100 dollar bill that said take your family out for dinner. This came out of his pocket not from Subaru of Wichita. Talk about a gentlemen! They even cut me an amazing deal on the upgraded speakers for the STI. Everyone at the dealership was saying how cool it was to get it and being jealous, it was a big deal as it was the first one Sold there. They had a big photo opp and snapped a ton of pics and made me feel really special about the whole thing. I felt like a Rock Star! I can say with the utmost confidence that i believe in the future they will be #1 in central united states beating out Colorado. Withe great people like the ones described about i cant see them failing. When the owner decided to make changes to the car buying business along time ago, he didn't just create a great place to buy cars. He made ( the template ) on car buying and how its supposed to be done, he smashed this one out of the park. I will continue to come here as it makes me feel like home. No matter where im stationed at in the US ill always but my Subaru's from Subaru of Wichita! Some of my friends have bought cars from the dealership as well! More
