Bought a new Subaru ascent. Wanted to trade my 2020 ford explorer limited in. I was 12000. in negative equity and was told I could sell my ford no problem without doing a trade-in. So I bought my new Subaru explorer limited in. I was 12000. in negative equity and was told I could sell my ford no problem without doing a trade-in. So I bought my new Subaru only to find out its not so easy to sell a car.(not a car salesman) but learning. :) So I am stuck with 2 BIG car payments and trying to sell a car. My family is upset that they let me leave with 2 new cars believing I would have no problem selling my ford. My son went in to buy a new Subaru and was going to use my ford as a trade-in to help me. They wanted 14000.00 in cash for him to buy a 28000. car. We knew he was going to need at least 5000.00 down but 14000. is ridiculous. My son said better to just put the 12000. on my ford's negative equity and forget buying a Subaru. Left a really bad taste with my whole family. My older son owns a Subaru and we would have had 3 if we didn't get the rip off treatment. So now, I'm not enjoying my new Subaru and neither of my sons or husband trust this dealer. I will sell my ford,eventually. But this dealer is dangerous. Really sad we couldn't have had a great experience. And Subaru could have had 4 loyal repeat customers. I left a message with the general manager and no one returned my call. THEY DON'T CARE. It's all about the sale and making the cash. Period. I will not recommend this dealer to anyone. I would recommend using a different Subaru dealer, its a good product. More
