I never got the idea that she thought she knew what we should buy, but rather that she wanted to find what we wanted. Swindia was outstanding. The management was consulted from time to time during the process, but always while we were otherwise involved. I like the fact that they we "behind the scenes" but clearly there. We were at first disappointed because the color of the car we wanted was going to be a problem. It was the manager who checked the situation and suggested a car that we had not previously considered. That is the car we bought and we are totally satisfied with that choice. Mike, the man who took us through the paperwork process, presented the various options available to us in a slow and clear manner. At one point, I asked him for a few minutes to confer with my wife. He left the office. We talked and then I went to find him and we continued the process. His explanations of the complex options was so clearly presented that I was amazed to find I had very few questions and found it easy to come to a decision that we agreed on. We bought a 2014 Forester Touring Model. I have known Subaru by reputation for years, but this is my first purchase. I've owned Fords, Chevrolets, Volvos and Mercedes. Each dealer has it's own ambiance. I'm sure you know what I mean. Subaru of Gwinnett is more like a Mercedes Dealer it is like any of the others. I highly recommend these people. More
I have purchased 6 vehicles from dealerships in my lifetime; my experience with Subaru of Gwinnett was the best one so far. I visited the dealership 3 times for test drives before purchasing. I received zero pressure from Lance nor did he pepper me with salesman type questions. When it came time to buy the car, Lance and I agreed on terms over the phone and he had everything ready for me when I arrived. Start to finish, I think the whole transaction took about 45 min. The dealership was busy and Lance had other customers, but he honored his commitment to me to get me in and out of there as quick as possible while still being respectful to his walk in customers. Jennifer in finance, was friendly and our time together was brief and easy. More
Lance was very patient with us. Due to some personal issues that delayed the timing of our purchase, he remained patient with us and kept in contact over 8 months. I have a 1998 Subaru Forester, which I bought new. Love the car! I knew that I wanted to buy another one soon. Chris took good care of her and she called me to tell me all about it and to tell me that he had another one in the color I liked. Problem is that I live 8 hours away in Kentucky! I called Chris and he gave me the info on the car. I was very excited..............but not sure how to make it work logistically. Chris helped with the details and we were set!! I was not trading my '98. It only has 204,000 miles so I knew my Son could depend on it for a while longer. It is a great car! My sister came home for the weekend to visit. I drove back with her on Monday and our first stop was Subaru of Gwinnett! Chris had the car clean and ready for a test drive. It was love at first drive!! Closed the deal then and there and I drove it home the next morning. I am very pleased with the purchase and Chris was very knowledgable, helpful and great to work with! Thanks guys!!! More
My girlfriend wanted a new Subaru XV so I searched TN, KY, GA and AL (we're in Nashville) to find the color and options she wanted. After contacting multiple dealers that had the car she wanted, we ended up making the purchase from Subaru of Gwinnett as we got the price we wanted and they were the most responsive and easiet to deal with. The deal was made over the phone/text/email and was very straight-forward, none of the typical back and forth or "come to the lot and we'll see what we can do" or surprise fees. We negotiated the deal with Jennifer, Gary took care of us when we arrive to pick up the car (reviewed the owners manual, explained the car's features and pair our phone), and Mike got us a great financing deal (we came in with financing arranged but he saved us enough with one of his lenders to almost cover teh cost of an extended warranty). The entire team was courteous, professional, and friendly - great experience! We would DEFINATELY recommend Subaru of Gwinnett and we would be back to service the XV there if we lived in Atlanta. This was the first time I bought a car on my own, and felt completely at ease the whole time. Any time I had a question, Jim had an answer. Any time I needed to email/talk to Jim, he was always available. Everyone I met at the dealership from Finance to Parts/Services was friendly, courteous, and clearly had my best interests in mind. I bought a 2012 Legacy last year and it was great car but after a few months I came to the collusion that a sedan was not for me since I had a van before the Legacy. I went by the dealer to talk to Swindia Matos, she sold me my Legacy and disused my concerns about the car she told me that I may be happier will a SUV so we looked at the new 2014 Forester man what a nice SUV... well to make a long story short the payments on the 2014 was a bit out of my price range. She suggested that I may want to look at a 2013 Forester since I could get a nicer one for what a base 2014 would cost. She was right and she got me in a 2013 Forester Limited. It has all the options that I would love to have but not able to afford. They found the SUV in NC and sent a driver to bring it down to GA just for me to look at. I had not even said yes to the deal and they went to all that trouble. Well I looked at the SUV and fell in love with it. Now how to pay for it I thought well they said that they would work on the price to make the payments that I needed and they did just that. I came out of there with the SUV I had dreamed of and with a payment I could live with. This is now my second car from SOG and I could not be happier! I will add one more thing I have been dealing with their service department and they are just as easy to work with as the sales department. All in all the dealership is great and I would not hesitate to send any of my friends or family to them for sales or service. More
I knew very little about the Subaru brand when I walked into the showroom. I asked for Lance Willhite because I had read other reviews that were very favorable about him....low key and easy to talk to..... into the showroom. I was coming from a Lexus RX330 and wasn't sure if the Outback would be comfortable enough for me. He was very patient and after driving two different years I was satisfied that the 2013 Limited would work just fine. He was low pressure even during the negotiations.....I have driven the car now for about a month and have felt totally comfortable about calling him with questions about the car. I would recommend him to anyone interested in a test drive. I have not experienced Subaru of Gwinnett's Service department but from the reviews I'm sure they are excellent. More
