I recently had the tires on my '03 Legacy replaced at Subaru of Gwinnett. There is a Subaru dealer closer to my home, but I have found over the years that I always prefer to deal with Jill--she is unfai Subaru of Gwinnett. There is a Subaru dealer closer to my home, but I have found over the years that I always prefer to deal with Jill--she is unfailingly pleasant, gracious, professional, and helpful, and in the past has been willing to work with me when I had complicated repair and servicing issues. My recent experience was no exception--Jill gave me a clear quote over the phone, and I was confident the tires she recommended were the best choice for my vehicle. The work was completed in a very reasonable amount of time, and as always I was treated with utmost courtesy by Jill and the rest of the staff. It is good to know Jill is there--as a Subaru owner I consider her a real resource! More
We would like to say thank you to Gary Sikes, Jennifer Hamilton, and Jill Thurston for continuing to offer a rewarding experience at Subaru of Gwinnett (SOG). Yesterday, we purchased our third Subaru fro Hamilton, and Jill Thurston for continuing to offer a rewarding experience at Subaru of Gwinnett (SOG). Yesterday, we purchased our third Subaru from SOG, and needless to say, we are very excited about our purchase. Each time, Gary and Jennifer have helped us with our purchases. The process has always been hassle free, and we have always received a friendly reception. We have dealt with Gary and Jennifer so much, that it was so easy to handle the preliminaries on the telephone for this purchase before traveling the distance to SOG. We live in Columbus, GA, which ia about 1 hour and 45 minutes away from SOG. We have continued to use SOG for the scheduled service of our past vehicles. Why do we drive so far? Well, the local Subaru dealer has not offered a very courteous experience. Metro Atlanta is not that far away. We travel there so much for leisure, which makes sense for us to schedule our SOG service visits when we are in the area. As a result of our continuous great experience at SOG, we will continue to drive the distance to care for our vehicle. Jill Thurston was not present yesterday during our third purchase, but we have relied on her in the past, and we will continue to rely on her for service related issues. The drive home yesterday was wonderful! Our 2012 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited rode smoothly, and we constantly noticed people looking at our new vehicle as they passed us on the expressway. As an avid Subaru owners, this new vehicle and its options surpassed our expectations. We are very happy with our experience at SOG. Also, we are excited about our new purchase. More
Lance was very helpful and friendly. Everyone that I came in contact with made me feel welcome and that they appreciated my business and I felt no pressure through the whole buying experience. Mihaela, came in contact with made me feel welcome and that they appreciated my business and I felt no pressure through the whole buying experience. Mihaela, who I learned has only been at this location a few days was very nice as well and worked with my salesperson Lance to get me a great rate and through the paperwork for buying my new Crossfire convertible in no time at all. It seemed as though the had been doing together for years based on how smoothly they worked togehter to take care of me during my purchase. The atmosphere was very comfortable in this small dealership, much more laid back and no where near the pressure you feel at some of the larger dealers in the area. None of the back and forth haggling and trips to talk to managers for secret conversation. They were up front about everything and took time to go over maintenance records and a CARFAX report for the car I was considering. I would definitely go back to them when it is time for my next automobile purchase. Overall, it was a great experience and I am enjoying my first few days with the top down thanks to the good people at Subaru of Gwinnett! More
I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a new car. In dealing with other dealerships, even ones that give good service, I have always had to have my guard up against being charged too much. H new car. In dealing with other dealerships, even ones that give good service, I have always had to have my guard up against being charged too much. However, at Subaru of Gwinnett both Jennifer and Lance were on *my* team to help me into a new car. My husband and I had a relaxed buying experience...from getting a good amount for my trade to negotiating a reasonable price and finding good financing. More

For some time, our family has been in the market for a safe, fuel-efficient, affordable SUV, and after reading numerous reviews, we were attracted to both the Toyota Highlander and the Subaru Outback. We safe, fuel-efficient, affordable SUV, and after reading numerous reviews, we were attracted to both the Toyota Highlander and the Subaru Outback. We had a terrific experience with a Toyota dealership and salesperson, so we were fairly certain that we’d go with the Highlander. But we decided to go to a Subaru dealership and check out the Outback before making our decision. At this first dealership, we learned a fair amount about the car and we liked it after driving it; however, the overall experience at that dealership, was nightmarish, or at best bizarre. The salesman started pressuring us only minutes after we’d driven a car. In discussing money and payment options, we felt that he was attempting to psychologically corner us. In a surreal scene straight out of comic books, we sat through a lengthy game of switcheroo from salesman to manager. By the end of the good cop/bad cop session, we were exhausted and incredulous at the way we'd been treated. When we left that first Subaru dealership, we started doubting whether we even wanted a Subaru! But we renewed our determination and decided to email several other dealerships in the Atlanta area, just to see what kind of response we’d get. From the beginning, one dealership, Subaru of Gwinnett, got our attention. The salesman who responded to our list of questions answered each one with directness and politeness—and with absolutely no pressure. We asked more questions. We got more straightforward, considerate answers. So we contacted the salesman, Gary Sikes, and had a good talk with him. We decided to go in for a visit and, again, Gary treated us well. He listened to everything we said and understood that we were exploring options. He made us feel comfortable about taking our time, answered every question we had, and explained various technical features of the car in clear layman’s terms. After learning about prices, we took a short break, went to lunch so we could discuss what we’d learned from Gary, and returned that afternoon to buy the Outback. Again, Gary took us through the paperwork with ease, introduced us to the great manager, Jennifer, and we had a completely pleasant experience . Now that we’re new Subaru owners, we’re like kids wanting to drive our beautiful car! Largely because of Gary Sikes’s great listening and his respectful, low-key, direct manner of talking about the cars he sells, we became comfortable and convinced we were making the best decision to go with a Subaru from Subaru of Gwinnett. We’re deeply grateful to Gary and will recommend him and Subaru of Gwinnett to our friends. More
This was my first car buying experience and needless to say, I was nervous. I had been to many dealerships and driven countless cars trying to find the right one until I came here. Gary, Lance and John mad say, I was nervous. I had been to many dealerships and driven countless cars trying to find the right one until I came here. Gary, Lance and John made this process such a joy that I wished I had just come here in the first place. That would have made the whole process a lot more painless. Nothing but the highest of praised coming from the most cynical of people. When I am ready to buy another car, I will most assuredly come here first and save myself the hassle. More
I have been working with Jill since May 2008 when I purchased my Subaru Impreza. She has always been very professional. She keeps me up-to-date on what is going on and the status of my service work. purchased my Subaru Impreza. She has always been very professional. My experience with Subaru of Gwinnett was exceptional. Lance was incredibly helpful and made custom ordering my Forester XT Touring smooth and easy. Although there was a glitch in the ordering process wh Lance was incredibly helpful and made custom ordering my Forester XT Touring smooth and easy. Although there was a glitch in the ordering process when Subaru of America missed the promised delivery window by several weeks, Lance, Jennifer and SOG stepped up on my behalf to make everything right. The extra weeks of waiting were worth it - and I absolutely love my Forester! I would highly recommend buying your next vehicle from Subaru of Gwinnett! Thank you again Lance and Jennifer! More
I originally rated my experience with SoG as a 5 on Dealerrater, but since then I have been disappointed in my experience. I was told when test driving the car about how they have someone there that i Dealerrater, but since then I have been disappointed in my experience. I was told when test driving the car about how they have someone there that is an expert in modding vehicles and that though i was concerned with the car having enough power, that they regularly make changes to the 2.5i that adds power, like tuning.chipping. Turns out none of these are options on the 2.5i. I feel like it was an honest mistake that sales person made, but I'm surprised at how little the dealer cares about the mistake. the sales manager didn't return my call, the GM Steve Kendricks didn't return my call, but had the service manager call. the service manager was very nice but passed me an option that might work and wished me luck. I didn't pay that much money for a car, just to go and experiment on things that might work. One person told me to try lighter tires to make better use of what power i have, but when i talked to the dealer they said thats not going to make much difference. Last week the service manager said it would. I'm very open to solutions, but 6 months of investigating this with little help is aggravating. I should not have to spend my money hoping to someday make this car the car that was sold to me. Its disappointing that no one at the dealer will own the mistake and help me with the experimentation that they want me to do. I even asked if they have light wheels i could try to see if it matters. no response. i asked if they would help me out with trading the car on one with more power and i didn't get a response to that either. i like the salesman at SoG and I've referred people to him - i would buy another car from him. I just don't think i should have to deal with their mistake all on my own. its very disappointing that the management there is not concerned with this enough to contact me. More
