Subaru roadside assistance In November 2019 I bought a brand new Subaru Legacy from this dealership. In August 2020 I broke down and called for roadside assistance. first call was to the dealership who gave me the number I needed to contact which I immediately did. After being put on hold i called for transportation home. I then again tried to contact them from my home phone and put on hold for 47 minutes. While being on hold I called the dealership again and was referred to Steven in service. When I explained my frustration at being put on hold for so long and I needed them to do something for me. He very condensing said to me and said he could arrange for a tow but I would be charged--Is he nuts???. FINALLY someone at the roadside assistance answered and was finally pleasant Omega said that she would arrange for a tow (at NO cost to me). I can tell you I will NOT recommend anyone using this dealership. Unfortunately my car is currently there for service since I didn't know of another dealership to send it to. Oh yeah one other thing all dealership are supposed to send out a customer satisfaction survey from JD Powers. I have NEVER received on. Good thing for them. More

Super friendly employees, also super high pricing on repairs. My parts were just a fraction of the cost for repairs on my 2011 Outback. The rest was labor. Also the total bill was more than what I was repairs. My parts were just a fraction of the cost for repairs on my 2011 Outback. The rest was labor. I am a long time customer of Subaru of Newton . On my 4th vehicle from them. So I started doing my own service on my vehicles because I found their service to be expensive . I figured I would give them anot vehicle from them. So I started doing my own service on my vehicles because I found their service to be expensive . I figured I would give them another try . Oil change and rear brakes $ 600.00 . When I got home checked the oil did not even fill it all the way had to add a half court of oil. They need to do better. Service manager walks around like he's confused More
Prepare to Be Hearing from Them Often, and For a Long Time I wouldn't even be writing a review of my negative experience, if Subaru World of Newton didn't insist on constantly calling and e-mailing me for year I wouldn't even be writing a review of my negative experience, if Subaru World of Newton didn't insist on constantly calling and e-mailing me for years, despite my many requests to be removed from their call and mailing lists. They regularly contact me for service, offers and event at their location, which I've told them, numerous times, is many hours from where I live. Now I even get e-mails from Toyota World of Newton. In 2013 I found a very specific certified-preowned WRX I was seeking, listed by Subaru World. I spoke with the dealership about the vehicle over the phone, and confirmed it was still for sale. The next day, I called immediately before setting out on a three-and-a-half hour drive to the dealership, to once again make sure the WRX was still available. The salesman from the certified-preowned department assured me it was. Upon arriving, I was quickly informed the car I was hoping to purchase, had been sold the night before. The head of sales tried to rectify the situation by offering some concessions on a brand new vehicle. I was without a vehicle of my own at the time, so I was between a rock and a hard place, and ended up being convinced to buy a base-model Impreza, which I've since been far from happy with. That decision is obviously no one's fault but my own, but I wish I could just live with it, without constantly being bugged by the dealership. More
They lied to me when I asked about high mileage leases. I bought three Subaru's from this dealer, a 2015 Crosstrek, a 2017 Forester and recently a 2019 Forester. I asked the salesman, David Wilt, early on about doing a high mileage lease and he told me that "Subaru doesn't like to get involved with those, we don't do them." That's an out and out lie. I could have looked into a lease with buying 30K miles a year. Subaru offers that, as I found out this week from another dealer. I like to change cars frequently, so leasing is better for me. I'm so angry about this ! I called corporate, my next phone call will be to Subaru/Chase where my loan is. If I can find out who owns these franchises, I'll be calling them also. And writing the CEO of Subaru corporate. Their lie is now my financial hardship. More

GTFO if you can’t afford the price I’m telling you! “Get the frick out if you can’t afford the price I’m telling you!” Worst dealer experience ever. I’ve been looking at 4Runners for a while now, and “Get the frick out if you can’t afford the price I’m telling you!” Worst dealer experience ever. I’ve been looking at 4Runners for a while now, and found a 2013 model at this dealership. I’ve been watching it on CarGurus for about 2 weeks. The initial listed price was 22,500. Then it was dropped to 20,900. I made an appointment for today (02/12/19) with Shannon Conklin. Before we got to the dealership, the online price dropped to 19,988. When we walked into the dealership we were met by Stephon HammondS who invited us to sit at his desk. He seemed nice enough at first. After he brought the truck out and we looked it over, we began discussing the price. Stephon’s price was 20,900. I let him know that I was aware of the price decrease so he said okay, 19,988 as it is on the Internet. Stephon then went to the back and came back with a piece of paper with a $24,000 tag on it. That is supposed to include a $1000 dealer prep fee (which we were never told what it includes), a few other hidden fees, and approx $2000 in sales tax. When I asked Stephon if the price is negotiable, he said we already negotiated from 20,900 to 19,988. I told him I came with $20,000 in cash ready to buy the truck for the advertised price. Stephon started getting rude at this point. He said at that point he would sell the truck for 17,000 which is the wholesale price, to another dealer and wouldn’t need to “waste his time” with us. We said no problem, we’ll have a friend who’s a dealer call and buy the truck for the wholesale price. Stephon gave his card at which our friend should call him. When Stephon’s phone started ringing, he came over ready to fight, and said “I don’t think you folks understand. If you can’t afford to pay the price I’m telling you, get the frick out of here!” At this point Anthony Emerick, the general sales manager, pulled Stephon away, escorted us to the door saying “Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.” Extremely professional salesman and good problem solving by the manager. Shady dealers with hidden fees are old news, but getting cursed out the door is a new low for an official Subaru dealer. Come here if you like getting ripped off while getting cursed out at the same time. More
