Trade in bait and switch We ordered a car under the Costco program. Since. We live 90 miles away and Mastro is the only Subaru dealer in the program we did not take our car in We ordered a car under the Costco program. Since. We live 90 miles away and Mastro is the only Subaru dealer in the program we did not take our car in to get it appraised before the new car was delivered. When we arrived we were delayed for over 1.5 hours before they came through with the appraisal. The amount they would allow us was $2500.00 below the KBB trade in allowance. Buying a car from Mastro Subaru was one of the best car buying experiences I have had. I had worked with another dealer in Pinellas County and found the car I wanted. But the experience quickly fell apart when it came to a fair value on my trade. This is when I reached out to Gene Honeycutt at Mastro. He moved mountains to find a very specific vehicle for me and gave me a Trade range sight unseen for my vehicle. When I came into the dealership to have a trade evaluation I was waiting for a lowball offer, but it never happened. We were able to agree on a fair-trade evaluation quickly. THE PRICES QUOTED NEVER ONCE CHANGED THROUGH COMPLETION OF THE TRANSACTION!!! I also wanted to give a shout out to Julio in the Finance group. Even though this was a cash transaction, he also went above and beyond to work through some limitations of my banking partner and get our deal done on time. I would strongly suggest that if you are in the market for a Subaru, your first stop should be Mastro. I could have saved a lot of frustration by visiting Gene and Julio first. More

Well, the detail of the vehicle on the website, along with access to the Carfax, convinced us we might have found the Subaru upgrade. Contacted Mastro and Tim promptly replied to us, answered our questions immediately, and was available at the scheduled time we set up. From the instant we sat in the car, Tim became a talking owner’s manual!! He knew how every-and I mean every-switch, button, and knob worked; the safety features; the improvements to a quieter ride; warranty and certified pre-owned particulars. Julio was efficient, meticulous and thorough, and shopped around to get me the best financing deal. Both were very patient and took plenty of time with their explanations. As a woman buying a car I really appreciated that. I can’t recommend them more highly! The perks the dealership offers definitely make it worth selecting Mastro over other dealers.
