Absolutely poor customer service. Absolute horrible experience. Will never come back here again! I bought a 2016 VW Beetle July 8, 2022, paid $250 for the DMV paperwork fee thinking I would receive my registration and plates in a few weeks, and since I live in Oregon I figure it would take a bit longer. Waited a few weeks and then I contacted them regarding when I would receive my registration and plates especially considering the trip permit was expiring. One of the managers told me not to worry, the paperwork would be taken care of ASAP, but that it would take a bit longer for me to get them since I lived in another state and let me know I could purchase more trip permits through Oregon DMV. So these permits expire after 21 days and you can only purchase 2 within a 12 month period. So in late August I contacted them again , but first I decided to call Oregon DMV to see what is taking so long. They tell me that these people had not sent the registration application yet!! Im thinking WHAT???? So of course I am angry! but then the wait time to get your dmv registration application processed is delayed and they said it could take 8 additional weeks. So I call Steve Hahn's and speak with the person in charge of all the paperwork and stuff and she literally tells me that she Just BEARLY sent the registration application out 3 days ago and it had JUST arrived to the Salem, OR DMV and they probably had not opened it yet. Im thinking why the heck was it sent over a month after I purchased the car? and why was I told when I called weeks before that it would be taken care of ASAP. Theyre absolute liars and have made this process annoying, its been over 3 months since purchasing the car still no licence plates and registration because NOW I need to get the WA title from the credit union it is being financed through and its been nothing but a nightmare to try to get! Another thing was that I clearly got ripped off with the extended warranty and tire warranty I purchased, so LEGALLY I am allowed to cancel it as long as I write a cancellation letter and send that along with the contracts back to the dealership, within 21 days, so I do that and I of course dont get a phone call or anything, then I call them and ask about it and they tell me that they never received it even though tracking states it was delivered, so the employee (Chelsea) tells me she will fill out the form to process that cancellation. Great. BUT weeks go by and I dont see the refund on my credit union account , so when I called them they tell me the form was sent to the credit union but it could take 4 weeks before I see the refund on my loan account.....its been 2 months and Im still waiting! wouldnt be surprised they lied about that too! Before buying my car I was told a FULL inspection was done and there was NOTHING wrong with the car, the salesperson literally told me that like 5 times. I highly recommend you request all paperwork that states what is included in "their inspection" because I found there to be little issues here and there with my car. first off the knob to turn and open up the sun roof was completely pushed in almost looked broke like they didnt even bother to push it back out before selling the car, I didnt know what it was at first until I did my own research, so I called them asking how I fix it they tell me to take it to a mechanic. So then I noticed while driving at night one of the headlights wont work..but then it starts working again , then it stops, and I think nothing of it just that it'll probably need a new one installed soon. Then one day my car wont turn on!!!I knew there was something wrong with the battery so I get it checked and was told It was a very old battery and it had to be replaced!!. These people will act like they are making your dreams come true but treat you like crap after they take your money! and I will be taking legal action if they do not refund me for that $5000 service contract! More
