Nice service but expensive, was not offered any specials. Previous free oil change car was washed. I paid full price for this one and nothing. Previous free oil change car was washed. I paid full price for this one and nothing. More

I spoke with the sales manager Giovanni and he had all the details worked out before coming in. Upon arrival I was greeted by a salesman Dario. He was kind and took care of getting all of my information ready for the finance department. Finance was quick and easy offering me only the items I wanted to add to help protect my investment. Things worked quickly and I was in and out with my new Signature CX-9 in less than 2 hours total! The car looks beautiful and was detailed perfectly. Thank you to everyone who made this exciting experience a pleasant one. I would highly recommend Spreen Mazda for Sales and Service. More

Before completing the sale, I asked for the tire tread depth remaining on the front tires. The sales manager, Giovanni, told me it was 4/32 which he claimed were like "brand new tires" when in reality new tires are 10/32 or 11/32. Telling me the fact that the tires are 4/32 is one thing, but trying to tell me that they are like brand new tires is absolutely misleading. With the advent of the internet, this is a fact easily researched. After more discussion several days before my Monday pick up date, the sales manager agreed to change them out for new tires. I confirmed on Sunday with the sales associate that the service center would finish detailing and changing the tires by 9am upon the dealership opening. I specifically booked a 5am flight to arrive at 7am and planned to wait the 2 hours at the airport before picking up and I made sure to let them know my flight plans. Upon arrival, I checked in at the front desk at 920am and he said they'd be "pulling the car around in a few minutes". 75 minutes later I still don't have the car and I asked why and they said they were still preparing the paperwork, which could have been done earlier. I was finally called into an office to sign all the documents and at the end, I wanted to make sure the tires were installed and the person who had me sign documents called the service department to confirm. The service department called to tell him that the tires were installed. He sent me back to the lobby and said the only thing left to do was to put the temporary registration on the windshield. After 20 minutes of waiting with no communication, another associate came out to tell me that the tires had not been installed yet and they said it would take another hour. They were not willing to give me a credit for the tires so we were forced to wait another hour for the installation of the tires. After the tires were installed, we still needed to wait for someone to put the registration on the windshield. Three hours later, we finally left the dealership with the car. It was overall not a great experience for me. As for the online purchase process, I found the car online and I don't live in the area (440 miles away). The warning I offer to other buyers is that purchasing a used car remotely is not very easy and Spreen has limited options to receive payment (only wire transfer or mail/delivery service). My bank offered a print-on-demand check sent via email which can be printed and deposited immediately but Spreen's business office doesn't accept that type of payment. Since a car isn't technically yours until payment has been received & deposited, they could sell your car to anyone else (UPS errors & incompetencies caused my check to be delivered late by 4 days and Spreen let me know that my car could be sold at any time), despite sending letter of guarantee and tracking numbers. You could get financing through the dealership but their rates were much higher than my credit union but to complete the purchase, all signing must be done in person since Spreen does not offer electronic document signing like DocuSign. Emily was very communicative and responsive via text and email but in the end, she still had to run all decisions through Giovanni. I'm not sure where the commination breakdown happened that caused us to have to wait 3 hours to get the car but given I did clearly let them know my travel plans, I was very disappointed in how long everything took.
