I called the dealership 2 1/2 months ago to make an appointment since my check engine light was on. My car is a 202 2 Tiguan and still under bumper-to-bumper warranty. I was told that I could not have appointment since my check engine light was on. My car is a 202 2 Tiguan and still under bumper-to-bumper warranty. I was told that I could not have an appointment for 2 1/2 months. After I asked to speak with the manager, he asked that I bring my car out so that it could be diagnosed to make sure that the check engine light would not damage my engine to continue to drive even though they could not fix my car for sometime. I did this, the problem was diagnosed, and he assured me that he would order the part that was necessary and it was covered by the original warranty. I brought my car back 2 1/2 months later. Each trip to Southern team is a 20 minute drive for me. I was told that he did not order the part, he was gone from the dealership and that the part would be ordered, and I would be notified when the part came in. I went back to the dealership and picked up my car. No one ever called. I finally called and inquired and the parts manager assured me that he had given them my name to call since the part had come in several days before. I asked to be transferred to make an appointment to have my car fixed and left a message and no one called me back. Several days later, someone finally called me from the dealership and told me that they could fix my car the following week. I made another trip to the dealership and dropped my car and it was ready later that day. So, this is over three months later and five trips to the dealership later I finally got my car back fixed. I was charged $200 just to look at my car at the Hyundai Dealership. In the past when I’ve taken my Nissan it only cost $100. Both are high but $200 is unreasonable! I was an able to order a key for $35 and have it cut and programmed with a local company for only $85 and it worked great. $630 is outrageous. I feel like the Dealership wants to take advantage of customers! More
