I reached out to Southern States to test drive a used 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and drove off the lot with a new 2026 Subaru Crosstrek! I can’t thank Jesalyn enough for working with me and getting me into my 2024 Subaru Crosstrek and drove off the lot with a new 2026 Subaru Crosstrek! I can’t thank Jesalyn enough for working with me and getting me into my new car! Jesalyn was wonderful! She took the time to answer all of my questions and made the entire process so easy. I will absolutely be recommending Southern States and Jesalyn Martin to everyone I know. More
We had such a great experience buying my man’s car with Jes. He absolutely LOVES the car, and she made the whole process feel easy, exciting, and genuinely fun. Jes was attentive without hovering, hones Jes. He absolutely LOVES the car, and she made the whole process feel easy, exciting, and genuinely fun. Jes was attentive without hovering, honest without giving us the typical sales pitch, and really took the time to help us find a way to make everything work for us. We never felt pressured or like she was just trying to make a sale. She was also just FUN to work with. Funny, warm, easy to talk to, and the kind of person who can make a big purchase feel a whole lot less stressful. We left ridiculously excited about the car and feeling really good about the whole experience, and now we’re counting down until we get to come back Monday and officially bring it home. Jes made us feel taken care of from start to finish, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to help us through it. More

I took my daughter's 2015 Subaru Crosstrek to this dealership this past week due to numerous lights being illuminated on the dash and the car lunging at lower speeds. I told the service advisor I was dealership this past week due to numerous lights being illuminated on the dash and the car lunging at lower speeds. I told the service advisor I was wondering if the Torque Converter Lockup Solenoid (TCC solenoid) was the issue since there are alot of YouTube vids and Subaru Forums stating this is a very common issue with CVT transmissions. The service advisor told me it wasn't the case due to the "Generic" codes on her diagnostic scanner. The car was later inspected by a technician and I was told the transmission would have to be replaced for $8200. The diagnostic fee was around $221. I owe less than this amount and started to entertain the idea of having to buy my daughter another car, which I didn't want to do since I still pay payments on her Crosstrek. So, after reviewing the online forums and YouTube vids, I decided to hook my $75 diagnostic scanner up and was immediately given a code stating the Solenoid was bad. I found a new Dorman Solenoid at Advance Auto and decided to try to tackle the issue myself. After a few hours, I replaced the part and it fixed the issue. If I can fix the issue for $120 in parts (Solenoid + Valve Body Gasket/O-Rings), then why was I told I needed a new transmission??? Either the technician was inept, orrrrrrrrrrr the dealership is trying to rip their customers off. This is interesting because years ago I had a Subaru Outback which wouldn't allow the technician to read the computer for state inspection. This same dealership told me the computer was bad and I would have to pay around $1500 to fix it. I asked if they checked the fuse to the diagnostic port and was told it was definitely not the fuse after my wife and young kids waited with me in the lounge for multiple hours after being told it should take only an hour to look at the car. I paid the $150+ diagnostic fee and went outside and checked the fuse and it was indeed blown. I put a replacement fuse in, took it across the street to a Jiffy Lube and they were able to use their scan tool and my inspection was passed. I will NEVER take my vehicle to this dealership again. I am not above paying for service if needed. In fact, I was prepared to pay the over $1500 charge (as seen online for typical replacement) for a new valve body and labor. But for the dealership to tell me I needed a new transmission, then I later fixed it myself in my garage with limited tools and while using a cheap scan tool is ridiculous. I can only wonder how many loyal Subaru customers have been ripped off over the years at this dealership. It's unacceptable to conduct business this way. More
The communication and background work done by Dakota was outstanding. She made the entire process comfortable and smooth and worked to get us what we wanted/needed and in our budget. There wasn't any of the outstanding. She made the entire process comfortable and smooth and worked to get us what we wanted/needed and in our budget. There wasn't any of the dealership games where they haggle or have 5 different managers and finance people try to be pushy to sell. We only worked with Dakota and the manager let her take care of us and everything. After the purchase, the paperwork completion was friendly, smooth and efficient as well! More
Our 2020 Outback battery drains repeated after a few days of non driving. I brought it in Jan7 2026. They sold me a mega battery that was supposed to solve the problem, (Ashley in service). I asked "what if of non driving. I brought it in Jan7 2026. They sold me a mega battery that was supposed to solve the problem, (Ashley in service). I asked "what if it doesn't?" Her response was bring it in and we'll do a multi-day monitor. They even promised a loaner. I felt OK. The battery died after us being out of town a week. I charged it fully. It died again so I called Ashley as instructed. Scheduled Monday July 20, 2026. Just one day, not the multi day she told me she would do. Ashley wasn't there on Monday so Mike took over. They monitored car all day while we had loaner. No evident drain found. I told him Ashley recommended a week of monitoring. I suggested leaving it a week coming up as we'll be out of town. He agreed and said he'd check with Ashley. I have called and texted Mike 6 times. No response. I called and texted Ashley numerous times. I got 1 response, "I'm not your advisor. Mike is" I can only conclude they don't know how to fix this problem. Mike suggested maybe a light was left on. It was not. I have been monitoring everything I can to figure this out. They tell me 2019's have this problem but not the 2020's. I don't believe it and neither do many on forums across the country. I've had Subarus for over 16 years now. NEVER AGAIN. When two representatives won't even respond to inquiries, they don't deserve your business. GO ELSEWHERE if you really want a Subaru. Go to a dealer where they don't just blow you off. More
