When I walked in the door of the dealership, I expected what I have always gotten at most dealerships - mediocre service and insincere sales people. I was greeted by Timmy Wiles. I knew immediately this experience would be different. Timmy found my car for me due to his listening to what I really wanted. Immediately, he walked me through the application process and I walked out with a car in very little time and without an ounce of frustration! Unheard of! I bought my car a week ago and already I have referred several friends to Timmy. He is a consummate professional giving only his best at all times. The saying I think of when I reflect on my experience is "There's not alot of traffic on the extra mile". That says it all - Thanks, Timmy! More
Tried to charge me $830 for a coil. LOL. I ended up buying the part for $80 at Autozone and replaced it myself - it took less than 3 minutes to do. Great experience with the entire crew at South Point Hyundai. Our salesman Sheldon was very knowledgeable about the vehicles we were considering and did not push us to a decision. I brought my car in which is a 2017 Hyundai sonata because It's been burning oil to the point where I had to add a quart every week and a half to two weeks. I understand that there is a recall on a lot of the engines due to issues like this or just general engine failure. Took my car in Tuesday dropped it off had to get a Uber ride back to work which is about 30 minutes away, but not a big deal I kind of expected that. I was told Wednesday that I needed to get my oil change service records which I did and I turn them in Thursday morning. My service advisor Chris he told me he just needed to submit the documents and they needed to get approval from Hyundai before they could start re-work, again with something I figured it was gonna happen anyway so no big deal. I called him around Thursday afternoon and it seem to take a couple phone calls before I got a return call back. Was told they're still waiting for an answer back from Hyundai which means I have to get a ride home. Called again Friday morning about two or three times left a voice message no response. It was until I called the front office when he I was transferred to him and he picked up which was about noon time. Was told but there still waiting to hear back from Hyundai but he would let me know by the end of the day what was going on. At that point I was asking if there was any way they could help with either a loaner car or even some crappy trade-in to drive since rides from Uber or rides from friends well starting to cost me quite a bit. He said he'd let me know later that day. By 4:30 PM that same day I have still not heard anything so between 430 and 530 I probably called about 8 to 9 times and left at least one or two voicemails but still no response. Still no response on Saturday. Still no response on Monday which I called about five times throughout the day left a voicemail almost every single time. Well then I was pretty fed up and I decided I needed a different service advisor so I called Tuesday morning about 1030 requesting to get a hold of the manager for that service department. I was also informed that my service advisor was out on Monday, sure would've been nice to have been told that by him so I wouldn't of wasted all my time. I guess when the service advisor is out whoever he's taking care of is just left out in the wind until they get back. So I was transferred to the manager of the service department which I believe his name was Donnie, I left a voicemail about 1030 this morning here it is about three hours later I still have not received any call back. This is the one and only time since I've bought a vehicle brand new from there lot. I've never needed to take it in for anything and it's just very unfortunate that this is the type of service to expect. Never going to buy another car from this lot again never going to buy another Hyundai again I just hope I get some resolution to my case pretty soon. So just a quick summary since Friday afternoon till now I've called about 15 times and left multiple voice messages and I still haven't received any update yet. More
