We visited South Point Hyundai browsing for vehicles to see what our options were. After having some personal credit issues we needed a solution and to find someone who would work with us on it. From the see what our options were. After having some personal credit issues we needed a solution and to find someone who would work with us on it. From the minute we pulled into South Point Hyundai, Carlos was there to greet us. We told him up front our situation and he was confident he would be able to help us find the right vehicle. He was extremely kind, patient and HONEST. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Mr. Carlos Aguilar. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a vehicle and wants a trustworthy person to work with. He is truly a pleasure to do business with and represented South Point Hyundai very well. We never once felt pressured by him yet he still managed to get us the vehicle we could afford and suited our needs perfectly. The finance manager (Jeff) also was great to work with. We greatly appreciate all of the work/effort put forth by these guys. More
I have to say buying a car is stressful and after a car accident I received A+ service in getting another car from Tom Cruz. Hetook my calls and was with me every step and went beyond the call of duty to help put me in another car. Thanks Tom for all your help and advice. You help me through a bad experience. Mr. Kuklin was the rep who responded to my internet purchase inquiry. I was looking into trading in my Hyundai Sonata but since it had been a great car to me I wanted to STAY with Hyundai. Ilya made purchase inquiry. I was looking into trading in my Hyundai Sonata but since it had been a great car to me I wanted to STAY with Hyundai. Ilya made my purchase (my first - alone - since my divorce - my husband usually took care of those things) very very easy and quick! Before I knew it, and my 3 kids in tow, we were OUT OF THERE in our 2011 Hyundai Veracruz. Which I (WE) ABSOLUTELY STILL LOVE! Thank you Ilya, it has been an absolute pleasure working with you! Over the years I have purchased or leased 23 automobiles and never has that task been simpler and handled more professionally than my recent purchase of a new car from South Point Hyundai. At my request, t and never has that task been simpler and handled more professionally than my recent purchase of a new car from South Point Hyundai. At my request, the entire process was handled by emails. I had researched the sales people on line, and while there seem to be many good people to work with, my selection of Tom Cruz turned out to be a winner. Tom could not have been more helpful and was a genuine pleasure to work with. Never did I feel the least bit of pressure. Because of scheduling limitations on my part, Tom even overnighted an optional component that I wanted to be on the car when I picked it up. I ended up with a great car at a great price. What surprised me a little was James in finance. In my experience the finance guy is usually the unpleasant part with pretty strong arm tactics re extended warranties, etc. James explained those options in clear, understandable language. My response was that while this extra warranty may be good for some, it was not for me. James accepted that with absolutely no push back. Probably the first auto finance person who, at the end of the process, I still found to be not only professional and competent, but a genuinely pleasant person. Eddie Gomez took charge of showing me how all the features worked and was very patient with my fumbling attempts at my first navigation system. This is the 3rd Hyundai I have bought or purchased from this dealership. At one time I had an issue with my 2011 Sonata that the dealership took ownership of and resolved it to my complete satisfaction. The service department has also been first rate. I think it is also indicative of the quality of the dealership when they hire and retain people like Tom, James, and Eddie. All in all, I could not have asked that this task have been handled any better. Kudos! More
Walked in and Mr. Trevino was extremely accomodating, he made sure we were very comfortable. Only thing is we gave a price range and were shown cars above that price. However was able to workout a deal th made sure we were very comfortable. Only thing is we gave a price range and were shown cars above that price. However was able to workout a deal that worked out for everyone and drove off the lot with what we were happy with. Staff was pleasant and helpful from begining to end. More
My experience at South Point, was awesome. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and the salesman Ernie was very professional. I felt he did everything he could to make sure I was able to find exac walked in the door I was greeted and the salesman Ernie was very professional. I felt he did everything he could to make sure I was able to find exactly the car I wanted. If I asked a question , that he was unsure of ..he didn't give me a BS answer, instead he went to go find the answer! I really appreciated that. Once, I found the car I wanted Ernie, made the paperwork part smooth. Instead of making me feel rush, he gave me the privacy of discussing details with my family and offered to hold the car until I came back the next weekend. That weekend when I arrived , Ernie pulled up and the car I wanted. I test drove it and was ready to sign paperwork and play the number game. Ernie and Rick negotiated a price for me that I could afford. They were not rude at all throughout the process. The process took longer than an hour but in the end Ernie got a sale, and I got the car I wanted and at a price that I could afford to keep the car:) Eddie Gomez did a great job of explaining the details of my car. He was very nice and wiling to answer all my questions in a polite manner. The financial guy Jeff was nice. He sort of rushed through paperwork but I think he was tired and ready to go home. On the pro side he did answer my questions all of them nicely. If you want to buy a Hyundai go to South Point at Austin . They have great selection and people are willing to work with you!! More
I have given this dealership an "ok" rating for the purpose of pressured, uncomfortable sales. The friendliness was good. The demonstration was fine. The explanations given were to the point. The a the purpose of pressured, uncomfortable sales. The friendliness was good. The demonstration was fine. The explanations given were to the point. The amount of pressure was NOT fine. There was no "walk thru the lot show me what is available", there was no "listen to what the customer wants". This is the second car I purchasedat Southpoint. I was that stupi!! I thought I could do better the 2nd time. NOT SO. I am a careful shopper, and take my time in large purchases. M goal was to lower my payments, so...trade in the new vehicleI bought for a used, certified auto. Did the salesman do that for me? No. Am I unhappy? Partly yes. Do I feel the sales was pressure charged? YES. Can I change this or improve it? Not really. I am stuck with a car payment that is still high, that does not help my budget. I am to blame for not being abing to walk away. I definately learned better this time. The whole reason they are #1 is pressured sales for people that don't need new cars, and they do not listen to the customer. More
I liked the look of Santa Fe's vs other SUV's. The 2 "must haves"were black leather interior and that it was a V8. The salesman told me they only had gray leather interior and V6's. I asked repe The 2 "must haves"were black leather interior and that it was a V8. The salesman told me they only had gray leather interior and V6's. I asked repeatedly if I would notice a big difference between a V8 and a V6,and was told no. My last car was a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8. and I like to drive fast. Slow drivers make me crazy. I bought the car. 5 days after buying the car I broke my foot and was unable to drive for 3 months. So the car sat in my driveway. When I started driving again, the car would RPM very high when I accelerated and didn't have any pickup. I called my salesperson and asked if there was something wrong with car. He assured me it was fine and that it would RPM higher than my V8. One day I go to get manual out of glove compartment and I find the MSRP sticker with the price of the car approx $2000 less than any of the the cars I had looked at and it was a 4 cylinder! Upon doing research I found out it is a federal offense for anyone but the purchaser of the car to remove the MSRP sticker. The dealership removed my sticker and put it folded up in my glove compartment. If I would have been able to remove the sticker I would have known right then and there that this was not the car I agreed to. Keep in mind, negotiations started off with the price of the V6. The manager of Southpoint Hyundai didn't care that I was unhappy and said it was my fault for buying a 4 cylinder car, Everytime I get in that car, I'm filled with resentment and disappointment. It took me so long to save up for a new car and now I'm stuck with a 4 cylinder car that has microfiber seats. More
I went to South Point Hyundai to look at a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0t after haveing a terrible experience with Ron Carter Hyundai in Friendswood, TX. I saw the used Genesis listed on their website fo Genesis Coupe 2.0t after haveing a terrible experience with Ron Carter Hyundai in Friendswood, TX. I saw the used Genesis listed on their website for a competetive, but not super-low price. I called Tom Cruz and informed him that I just had an awful experience with Rob Carter Hyundai and had driven all the way from San Antonio to Houston (about 3 hours) only to find out I had been blatantly lied to over the phone about the price listed on Ron Carter's website (if you'd like to hear all about my experience with Ron Carter you can read my extensive review on their page), and I wanted to make sure I didn't waste anymore time driving around Texas to get the car I wanted. Tom was a professional from beginning to end. He gauranteed there were no hidden fees or numbers and whe I informed him that I didn't think their price was all that competetive, he told me he was willing to work with me on the numbers. The dealership closes at 9:00 and we weren't able to make it up there until 7:30pm, but he encouraged us to come up and had the car pulled up and ready. Even given the late hour, he took his time with us and I never felt rushed, even when standing outside at 9:30 at night staring at two different colors under parking lot lights trying to make a decision on which I liked better. There was no quick talk, no confusing number games, and they worked with me to give me what I wanted at the best price they could offer. Their finance department was friendly and went to great lengths to explain everything slowly and in a way that was easy to understand. At 10:30 at night I left there in my new car and the employees were there to wave me off. I was pleased with everything - the deal, the customer service, and my new car. I also would like to mention that this was the only dealership that didn't pass me wround from salesman to salesman: one salesman helpd me on the lot, then another would join me for the test drive, then pass me back to the original salesman. Tom was who we worked with from beginning to end. After dealing with 3 different Hyundai dealerships during this purchase, these guys are definitely who I will recommend to my friends and family. More
