Walked in and Mr. Trevino was extremely accomodating, he made sure we were very comfortable. Only thing is we gave a price range and were shown cars above that price. However was able to workout a deal th made sure we were very comfortable. Only thing is we gave a price range and were shown cars above that price. However was able to workout a deal that worked out for everyone and drove off the lot with what we were happy with. Staff was pleasant and helpful from begining to end. More
My experience at South Point, was awesome. As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted and the salesman Ernie was very professional. I felt he did everything he could to make sure I was able to find exac walked in the door I was greeted and the salesman Ernie was very professional. I felt he did everything he could to make sure I was able to find exactly the car I wanted. If I asked a question , that he was unsure of ..he didn't give me a BS answer, instead he went to go find the answer! I really appreciated that. Once, I found the car I wanted Ernie, made the paperwork part smooth. Instead of making me feel rush, he gave me the privacy of discussing details with my family and offered to hold the car until I came back the next weekend. That weekend when I arrived , Ernie pulled up and the car I wanted. I test drove it and was ready to sign paperwork and play the number game. Ernie and Rick negotiated a price for me that I could afford. They were not rude at all throughout the process. The process took longer than an hour but in the end Ernie got a sale, and I got the car I wanted and at a price that I could afford to keep the car:) Eddie Gomez did a great job of explaining the details of my car. He was very nice and wiling to answer all my questions in a polite manner. The financial guy Jeff was nice. He sort of rushed through paperwork but I think he was tired and ready to go home. On the pro side he did answer my questions all of them nicely. If you want to buy a Hyundai go to South Point at Austin . They have great selection and people are willing to work with you!! More
I have given this dealership an "ok" rating for the purpose of pressured, uncomfortable sales. The friendliness was good. The demonstration was fine. The explanations given were to the point. The a the purpose of pressured, uncomfortable sales. The friendliness was good. The demonstration was fine. The explanations given were to the point. The amount of pressure was NOT fine. There was no "walk thru the lot show me what is available", there was no "listen to what the customer wants". This is the second car I purchasedat Southpoint. I was that stupi!! I thought I could do better the 2nd time. NOT SO. I am a careful shopper, and take my time in large purchases. M goal was to lower my payments, so...trade in the new vehicleI bought for a used, certified auto. Did the salesman do that for me? No. Am I unhappy? Partly yes. Do I feel the sales was pressure charged? YES. Can I change this or improve it? Not really. I am stuck with a car payment that is still high, that does not help my budget. I am to blame for not being abing to walk away. I definately learned better this time. The whole reason they are #1 is pressured sales for people that don't need new cars, and they do not listen to the customer. More
I liked the look of Santa Fe's vs other SUV's. The 2 "must haves"were black leather interior and that it was a V8. The salesman told me they only had gray leather interior and V6's. I asked repe The 2 "must haves"were black leather interior and that it was a V8. The salesman told me they only had gray leather interior and V6's. I asked repeatedly if I would notice a big difference between a V8 and a V6,and was told no. My last car was a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited V8. and I like to drive fast. Slow drivers make me crazy. I bought the car. 5 days after buying the car I broke my foot and was unable to drive for 3 months. So the car sat in my driveway. When I started driving again, the car would RPM very high when I accelerated and didn't have any pickup. I called my salesperson and asked if there was something wrong with car. He assured me it was fine and that it would RPM higher than my V8. One day I go to get manual out of glove compartment and I find the MSRP sticker with the price of the car approx $2000 less than any of the the cars I had looked at and it was a 4 cylinder! Upon doing research I found out it is a federal offense for anyone but the purchaser of the car to remove the MSRP sticker. The dealership removed my sticker and put it folded up in my glove compartment. If I would have been able to remove the sticker I would have known right then and there that this was not the car I agreed to. Keep in mind, negotiations started off with the price of the V6. The manager of Southpoint Hyundai didn't care that I was unhappy and said it was my fault for buying a 4 cylinder car, Everytime I get in that car, I'm filled with resentment and disappointment. It took me so long to save up for a new car and now I'm stuck with a 4 cylinder car that has microfiber seats. More
I went to South Point Hyundai to look at a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0t after haveing a terrible experience with Ron Carter Hyundai in Friendswood, TX. I saw the used Genesis listed on their website fo Genesis Coupe 2.0t after haveing a terrible experience with Ron Carter Hyundai in Friendswood, TX. I saw the used Genesis listed on their website for a competetive, but not super-low price. I called Tom Cruz and informed him that I just had an awful experience with Rob Carter Hyundai and had driven all the way from San Antonio to Houston (about 3 hours) only to find out I had been blatantly lied to over the phone about the price listed on Ron Carter's website (if you'd like to hear all about my experience with Ron Carter you can read my extensive review on their page), and I wanted to make sure I didn't waste anymore time driving around Texas to get the car I wanted. Tom was a professional from beginning to end. He gauranteed there were no hidden fees or numbers and whe I informed him that I didn't think their price was all that competetive, he told me he was willing to work with me on the numbers. The dealership closes at 9:00 and we weren't able to make it up there until 7:30pm, but he encouraged us to come up and had the car pulled up and ready. Even given the late hour, he took his time with us and I never felt rushed, even when standing outside at 9:30 at night staring at two different colors under parking lot lights trying to make a decision on which I liked better. There was no quick talk, no confusing number games, and they worked with me to give me what I wanted at the best price they could offer. Their finance department was friendly and went to great lengths to explain everything slowly and in a way that was easy to understand. At 10:30 at night I left there in my new car and the employees were there to wave me off. I was pleased with everything - the deal, the customer service, and my new car. I also would like to mention that this was the only dealership that didn't pass me wround from salesman to salesman: one salesman helpd me on the lot, then another would join me for the test drive, then pass me back to the original salesman. Tom was who we worked with from beginning to end. After dealing with 3 different Hyundai dealerships during this purchase, these guys are definitely who I will recommend to my friends and family. What made Hyundai South Point and Tom Cruz so special compared to other? Quite simple, Tom offers the whole package – he is very helpful, competent, listens to your needs, does not try to give you the us compared to other? Quite simple, Tom offers the whole package – he is very helpful, competent, listens to your needs, does not try to give you the usual (and unpleasant) sales pitch and blabla. I never felt any pressure and after all it was just a pleasant and great experience, especially, the unrivaled price. My verdict about Tom Cruz from Hyundai South Point in Austin: If you do not go there you will miss out on a fantastic deal that no one else can offer in that region. More
I have two 2013 Hyundais. Elantra and Sonata, and live 120 miles from Austin, Texas. But whenever possible, whether it is oil change or engine lights, I prefer getting service at South Point Hyundai, due 120 miles from Austin, Texas. But whenever possible, whether it is oil change or engine lights, I prefer getting service at South Point Hyundai, due mainly to the way that Megan Christiansen takes on my service requests with little advance warning, as though they were important to her personally. She makes every accommodation for my schedule, and insures that I get total satisfaction, even getting my vehicle washed as a courtesy, while making sure that I am comfortable in the nice customer lounge, with gourmet coffees and teas. The vehicle is back on the road even sooner than promised, and my day is brightened by Megan's friendly, happy, yet efficient and professional attitude. More

Andrew welcomed Bill and me on a hot Texas day with lots of water. He was very kind, knowledgeable about the Santa Fe, and was not bothersome about buying the car. Andrew allowed us to drive several cars of water. He was very kind, knowledgeable about the Santa Fe, and was not bothersome about buying the car. Andrew allowed us to drive several cars until we were happily satisfied with the new Santa Fe. The trade-in for my car was outstanding. Sonny, the manager, was very nice and we liked the young man who did the final paper work. I will recommend Southpoint Hyundai Austin to all who ride with me. So far, my neighbors love the car. They aren't ready to buy, but I know they will be happy with a new Hyundai. More
First of all I contacted South Point using the standard internet enquiry from the Hyundai website. Tom Cruz (awesome name btw), got back to me the next day with all the information I needed. We discussed internet enquiry from the Hyundai website. Tom Cruz (awesome name btw), got back to me the next day with all the information I needed. We discussed much of the deal over email since I don't like to give out my number early on. He was great about that and gave us a better price on the exact same car that we had test driven at Round Rock Hyundai. Tom was not pushy or aggressive, he knew we had the knowledge of what we wanted and was really respectful and nice to talk to, I think they live by that as I saw it on the wall in their office. Eddie from service was also great. I know we hounded them for a good deal and including some extras in the price, but they went through. I think any "irritable" quirks can be attributed to the fact that we did the whole deal from 630pm to 10pm and everyone was tired and hungry. But kudos to the team because they stayed there until the deal was done and we got what we wanted. Jeff in finance was also really great. Helpful, quirky, not pushy, honest and straightforward. I really would like to commend these 3 guys for a job well done. We are happy with the deal and the car we got and I thank them for making this purchase process painless. More
