Bought a $40k pre-owned vehicle and here is what I got: Bought a $40k pre-owned vehicle and here is what I got: 1 key 3 new tires and 1 three years old and half worn Serpentine belt that was cracked Bought a $40k pre-owned vehicle and here is what I got: 1 key 3 new tires and 1 three years old and half worn Serpentine belt that was cracked and had to be replaced (service did not check off on 160-point inspection box ... hmm) Battery acid corroded wires shows up a couple months after purchase (service checked as OK on 160-point inspection) What I had to pay: $150 new key $160 new tire $250 new serpentine belt $100 new wiring around battery Crazy thing is, I work a few blocks away and would have gone to service my vehicle there. But I refuse because neither sales nor service would address any of these issues. Sure, it's a pre-owned vehicle but the fact that the 160-point inspection missed the belt and would not replace is inexcusable. One issue fix may have kept me going back there. Too bad for them. Honest, prompt, reliable, straight forward, friendly, great deal, great price, and he got me the color and model FJ Cruiser that I had expectations!
