I bought the car brand new from a local Hyundai dealership, but after some less than pleasant experiences when taking my car there for service or warranty work, I decided to see what other dealerships were in the area and found the South Bay location. It is about a 30 minute drive - about 15 minutes longer than a trip to the first dealership - but it was the best decision I have made in regards to car service, as I was able to meet Jack Kim and his team who have been wonderful ever since. Instead of shutting down any discussion of potential warranty work, it always seems like their goal is to hear you out and work with you in finding solutions/answers to your questions and they are always friendly - even super early in the morning when I like to have most of my work done. Cannot thank this team enough for all of their help over the years and will continue going to this location for as long as I have the car, which is going on 6-7 years now. Thanks guys! More

Liess Called in to get a Hyundai Electra SE. requested a fleet Manager they transferred me to sales representative (Nicole). Told her the price that I hav Called in to get a Hyundai Electra SE. requested a fleet Manager they transferred me to sales representative (Nicole). Told her the price that I have from a broker and wanted her to match or get me a better price. She promised me a lower price and told me that she needs to get my info just in case my credit won't be over 800s. I told her that my credit is over 800 she didn't believe me, she still insisted to get my info. Me being an honest person went ahead and believed her and submitted my credit app. Later on I get a call from her telling me a way different price from the one she promised. I told her from the beginning that I'm not a military and the only thing I have is my college grad, so she can get me the price I asked, she promised me the price and told me to go ahead and fill up the credit app. After filling the credit she calls me with a price that's $3000 over what she promised us. She mentioned that that's the price that her manager (Jermaine Johnson) told her. I talked to Jermaine about the price I was promised before running my credit and the price I got after. He tells me that he can't do any better on the price and that's their best price. He also promised me that my credit wasn't run!!!! Really?!! I don't believe that. Just want this to go to the General Manager to see what's happening in this dealership. This is not our first time leasing a car, but this is by far the worst we have been throw. Lie after lie. I don't want this to happen to any other client, but I guarantee I'm not the only one went throw this really bad sales serves. General Manager please do something about your employees. Nicole's price before running the credit $500 down $165 plus tax and dealer fees monthly payments. I told her my price is $500 total down $180 tax fees included with 12k mile year and 36moths lease. They run credit they come back with $3500 down $180 tax included ?!!!!!! FYI my credit is over 800, so what is all this BS Mr general manager. More

Very Good customer service I initially emailed about interest in a used vehicle, and South Bay Hyundai was proactive and reached out to me. Alejandra was excellent with communicating with me via email and phone, and answered my questions and connected me with a salesperson. Jermaine took over and was helpful in addressing more specific questions about the car and invited me to come by their lot. Although I came in late (almost closing time), and I could tell everyone was tired, they still showed me all the professionalism and courtesy that anyone should get, so I was grateful for that. Even though there wasn't much wiggle room on the price, they worked with me and everyone was super friendly in the process. Jermaine and Alejandra were very helpful and accommodating. I ended up buying the car I was initially interested in, and they let me store my old car on their lot for a couple days while I figured out how to drive around two cars, haha. Definitely connect with Jermaine if you are looking for a car, as he believes in the vehicles he is selling and was pretty upfront with my direct questions about the car. All the other sales people and employees were very friendly and engaging, too. I recommend South Bay Hyundai if you are ready to make a car purchase, and aren't worried too much about the price. More
