My wife and I were shopping around for a new car. Our Lease on our 2007 Murano was nearing the end. We were out at Tanger Mall this Sunday and stoppped by a a few dealerships to see what they had. We first went to Honda and looked at the 2010 Accord Coupe and we really didn't like the way the interior colors matched the car. So while out east we stopped in the local Nissan dealer in Riverhead to look at the two door Altima's. We meta young salesman who was nice but as we told him we had six months left on our lease he siad he could make us a deal on a two door Altima they had and we liked but they kept changing the numbers on us? I told my wife that I would go online that night when we got home to look for the same car we liked in Riverhead. I didn"t find the exact same car but something similiar at Smithtown Nissan and sent an inquiry into the internet. Dustin called me the next day and said he could get the same car as we liked and work out the best pricing for us. He did and we picked up our car yesterday as everthing was handled by Smithtown Nissan! They even took care of our paying off our old 2007 Murano lease and taking the car in to return to Nissan. I saw a lot of nice things being said about Giuseppe on this website, so I made an appointment with him. I found him to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. I'm still fairly new at buying a ne this website, so I made an appointment with him. I found him to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous. I'm still fairly new at buying a new car, and he showed infinite patience (and did not pull his hair out or roll his eyes once!). After my purchase he went over all of the controls in the car and even set my radio stations for me! I highly recommend this saleman and dealership. Smithtown Nissan has a huge inventory - I'm sure you will find the car you're looking for there. More
I have never taken the time to write a review for any car dealership but in this particular case I wanted to make it a point to do so. Both my wife and I were dreading leasing a new car based on a past ex dealership but in this particular case I wanted to make it a point to do so. Both my wife and I were dreading leasing a new car based on a past experience we had at Nissan of Garden City...specifically in the financier's office. So we had heard good things about Nissan of Smithtown and decided to take the trip (we came all the way from Great Neck). From the minute we walked into the showroom, Giuseppe made us feel comfortable in the sense that at no point did we ever feel we were about to be taken advantage of. Giuseppe took the time to listen to our concerns and when he knew we were struggling with coming to a decision he was patient and willing to talk everything out with us. Making an offer on the car never felt like pulling teeth and was very smooth and reasonable in terms of time taken to finalize the deal. Giuseppe was fair and we had a comfortable back and forth when it came to the terms. THE BEST PART Once we came to a deal on the terms of the lease and the payments .. etc... we walked into the Financier's Office and guess what...we actually only had to pay what Giuseppe said we were going to pay....no extras...nothing hidden....it was actually HONEST. Allison Rollero was very sweet and made everything so easy. I would recommend Nissan of Smithtown to anyone interested in purchasing or leasing a Nissan...that wanted a fair deal and most importantly...to deal with someone that will lead you to that fair deal. He greeted us in a very timely manner, he had extensive knowledge on the Nissan Rogue that we were looking into. He did everything possible to make our experience a great one. After dealing with Joe, we were very disappointed with some of the finance salespersons and or managers, who waited until the very last minute to attempt increasing the monthly cost of the car, based on my wife's credit rating. We leased this car together, and had we have known earlier in the day that her credit score would not qualify for Nissan's "Tier 0", the car would have been registered in my name which would have saved us over an hour of time trying to get the car back down to our agreed price. Nissan did the right thing by eating the extra cost of $975, but a good amount of our time was wasted during this process. We would have walked out without the car that evening, and would have never dealt with Smithtown Nissan after that. If it were not for Joe Ursso, these ratings would have been on the other end of the spectrum, HE GAVE US THE GREAT EXPERIENCE that we deserved, so these ratings are based SOLELY on his performance! Upon entering the dealership, we were greeted by Giuseppe. He was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable. We told him we were interested in seeing the Versa.
