First,let me start the review of by saying I would buy a car from Charles Murray anyday of the week and twice on Sunday wherever he worked. Charles is not there to feed you a line or get you into something you have no business being in. He just wants to sell you what YOU need. As for the dealership as a whole, they can take a few lessons from Charles. I had 2 bad experiences(within 2 weeks) of each other last time I got a car from Smithtown and wouldn't you know it happened a 3rd time....3 years later!!! The reasons for my scores.... Price - I gave a 4 because no matter how much they tell you they are losing on a deal, they are making money. Unless you catch and end of the model year car or one that has been sitting on their lot for a long time that they need to move, you will never get a GREAT deal...from any dealer. I was happy with the lease price in relation to the MSRP but I am sure there were a few dollars left on the table. Quality of Work - I gave a 4 as an average score. Charles is a 5+ because of his demeanor and his whole attitude. No pressure tactics, no forcing a deal on you, none of that typical salesman stuff. I gave their finance department a 2 because they are unscrupulous people. They changed a signed purchase order after we signed it and tried to get an additional $1,800 from me. This was the 3rd time they have tried the trick on me. I called them on it all 3 times and amazingly it disappears. I feel sorry for unsuspecting leasees who go in there. No matter what they do to apologize doesn' change the fact you had the nerve to pull the stunt. Customer service - I gave a 4 and for the same reason I listed under quality of work. That is just bad business. Friendliness - I gave them a 5 because they are all very friendly. Charles is friendly and is not strictly about the deal. We spoke of family, work, etc. Charles is genuinely a nice person. The finance and management team are also very nice but they are trying to hide the fact they are about to attempt to screw you for some $$$. Overall Experience - I gave them a 3. NO matter how great Charles is I can't get past the fact they had the nerve to try and pull a fast one on me. As proof they I held nothing against Charles for all of the stupidity that went on, I leased the 2 other vehicles I promised I would from him that same weekend. It wasn't fair to cost him the sales. Of course for the 2 other leases, they didn't try and pull the same stunt as I warned them if they did they would be dealing with the BBB. I also think it had something to do with them not wanting me to go ballastic in there showroom again. I say run, don't walk, to buy a car from Charles. Just make sure you understand they specifics of the deal before you get to the finance guys. That is where this dealership goes downhill. More
We just stopped in to look at the 2012 Murano and was greeted by Bill Doyle. We felt immediately that he was a salesperson we could trust, and he was helpfull in answering all our questions. We had not leased before, and after a test drive and talking things over with Bill, we decided to lease. We have dealt with many car dealers in our time, but we feel this was far and away the best we have dealt with. The Sales Mgr. Giuseppe Molinaro was a pleasure to deal with as well as the Finance Mgr. Christian Nesky. Overall we were very pleased with our experiance and would not hesitate to recommend Smithtown Nissan to our family and friends. More

We had visited the showroom to get info about our upcoming end of lease on an Altima which we had leased back on Nov 2009 from this dealer. We returned to them because they were very friendly and gav upcoming end of lease on an Altima which we had leased back on Nov 2009 from this dealer. We returned to them because they were very friendly and gave us a good price. This time we visited, we got a great price on our new Altima. I would reccommend this dealer to friends and family. More
I am very happy with the Nissan I drove away with overall. We hit a bump in the road toward the end of the process but Will was fantastic and handled everything perfectly. I have to say that my overall experience was "good" not "great" because there was a point where we felt we needed to speak to the manager on the phone due to a discrepancy; and he actually hung up on us during the conversation. This would have caused me to tell everyone I know not to ever visit Smithtown Nissan, except Will called us right back and seemingly repaired everything. Will listened to everything we wanted/needed in a deal and completely delivered. I am beyond happy with the service (for the most part) and most importantly my new car. More
I was leasing a 2009 Nissan Altima from Smithtown Nissan and was debating whether or not to stay with Nissan. Although the car wasnt bad I just wasnt sure if I wanted another Nissan. I thought my lease was up in March 2012 so I was going to start looking at my options. I received a call from Cheryl who told me that Nissan could take in my vehicle and probably make me a better offer. So I made an appointment to find out what they could do..not expecting anything. When I got to the dealership Cheryl then brought me to Charles Murray who would then talk to me about leasing options. I told Charles that I wanted to get into a different vehicle possibly the Rogue but I was interested in other manufacturers. I also told him that the only way I will stay with Nissan was if they can keep my payments close to what I was paying and give me the color choice that I wanted. Well sure enough Charles found a Rogue in the color of my choice which was Graphite Blue and after I took it for a test drive...I loved it! But I wasnt ready to set my heart on it yet....We spoke numbers and he gave me an offer I couldnt refuse. Now I was happy and looking forward to driving my new vehicle. The process was so easy...so simple....Charles was so pleasant to work with. My husband and I felt very comfortable with him and were very pleased. Chris the finance manager was also very nice and pleasant to work with. Charles and the rest of the staff were great and really made this experience really good and made my decision of sticking with Nissan and easy one. Thank you again to everyone there! Smithtown Nissan is the place to go to get the atmosphere, and true value you are looking for when purchasing a car. We were looking for the Altima, and Joe gave us all our options and worked with our budget. He explained all the different models and which one would be best for us. We are extremely happy with our new car and Joe made my husband and I feel like VIP's. Joe and financial advisor Brian Vasak made the sale effortless. I am also the owner of a Nissan Armada that I purchsed last year from Smithtown Nissan. My husband and I are very happy with the service department as well. All in all, Nissan Smithtown is a wonderful place to go to buy a car and I would recommend anyone to go there. We are glad we chose Smithtown Nissan. More
