When I went into this dealership, I was not sure if it would be different from the place I had been to the week before. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Don't let the older smaller showroom kee would be different from the place I had been to the week before. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Don't let the older smaller showroom keep you away (I am told they will be getting a new one down the pike but that takes time). I was met by Austin Nasworthy. I don't know about the Nas part of his last name but the worthy part seems pretty dead on. He is personable, kind (laughed at my jokes, after all), knowledgeable and forthright. Austin had me feeling at home there as we spent quite a while going over inventory, options and pros and cons of the car I was interested in. I made a deposit on the Kia Niro Hybrid Plug-in, returned a few days later to get my car. Now, the dealership surprised me pleasantly in another way. The did NOT freaking call me or text me from several different number and several different people trying to get me in for a test drive or come and finance the "ride of your life." They respected my privacy and were very polite. THANK YOU for that, ladies and gents! I had issues with another Long Island dealership, and it was annoying. I am disappointment with the service, or lack thereof, that my spouse and I experienced at Kia Smithtown on December 27, 2024, during our afternoon visit. Despite spending a considerable amount of time walking around the showroom and inspecting vehicles—opening doors and sitting inside—none of the staff approached us, acknowledged our presence, or even made eye contact. Instead, we observed staff members seated at their desks, conversing amongst themselves, seemingly uninterested in assisting prospective customers. To make matters worse, as we were leaving, a salesperson entering the building rudely brushed past us, exhaling smoke and flicking a cigarette on the ground. This unprofessional behavior compounded an already frustrating experience. We had gone to the dealership intending to explore potential vehicle options and engage with your sales team. Unfortunately, the dismissive and indifferent attitude of your staff left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. More
