Let's not be moronically naive. A good customer is well prepared BEFORE he (or she) hits the showroom floor of any dealership in American. He knows well ahead of time the approximate value of his trade-ins prepared BEFORE he (or she) hits the showroom floor of any dealership in American. He knows well ahead of time the approximate value of his trade-ins. He knows how much cash he is willing to give. He knows how much payment he is willing to settle on, ect. ect. Having said that, I was pretty damn prepared save for one thing. I'm too much of a chicken to check my own credit score so I figured a 8% interest rate on 6 years. Guess what, my sales manager at Skyline popped me a 2.74%. Holy Moses, I jumped for joy. Was it just luck or a skillful manager? I choose a little of both, but having said that, gone are the days of greasy haired lap-dog sales people at dealerships, or at least at Skyline in Salem, Oregon. These are family guys, guys you can talk to, relate to and most importantly, even though the prices are set on these vehicles, they don't think you're made of money or my favorite, berate you about your credit score. Mine was not the best, but at the last dealership (not Ford) I was talked down to and made to feel like a loser that only THEY could help. That was such bullcrap, but back then I had to put up with it. Phil, my sales guy at Skyline was fun, just plain fun and that made an important purchase fun, the most I had in literal decades. It doesn't hurt the Ford is the best domestic in N. America as well. Long story short, I would recommend Skyline to ANYONE on the freaking West Coast (Mountain West as well), they are that good and there are like 10 other Ford dealerships just north a few miles. WHERE DO I START. THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS HORRIBLE!!! THE CUSTOMERSEVICE AS FAR AS GETTING ME IN AND ON TIME WAS AVERAGE. THE QUALITY OF WORK SUCKS. THIS DEALERSHIP DID NOTHING BUT TRY AND RIP ME OFF!. F THE CUSTOMERSEVICE AS FAR AS GETTING ME IN AND ON TIME WAS AVERAGE. THE QUALITY OF WORK SUCKS. THIS DEALERSHIP DID NOTHING BUT TRY AND RIP ME OFF!. FIRST OFF SAYING I NEED NEW BALL JOINTS. IMMEDIATELY TOOK TRUCK TO LES SCHWAB AND THEY SAID I DON'T NEED BALL JOINTS ALSO SAID I WAS THE THIRD PERSON TO STOP BY SAYING THEY CAME FROM SKYLINE FORD NEEDING BALL JOINTS WHEN THEY DID NOT NEED THEM REPLACED. SECOND SAID I HAD A REAR MAIN SEAL LEAK WHEN I TOOK IT TO LANDMARK FORD WHO SAID IT WASN'T A MAIN SEAL LEAK AND IT WAS A BEDPLATE LEAK TYPICAL OF MY VEHICLE AND DUE TO THE LEAK BEING SO SMALL NOT EVEN WORTH SPENDING THE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS IT COSTS TO FIX IT. THIRD AFTER CHANGING THE OIL; THE SKYLINE MECHANIC DIDN'T EVEN CHECK THE DRAIN PLUG AFTER PUTTING IT BACK IN. BECAUSE IF HE DID THE MECHANIC WOULD HAD NOTICED THE PLUG WASN'T IN RIGHT BECAUSE WHEN I GOT HOME I NOTICED OIL LEAKING ALL OVER MY DRIVEWAY. BY THIS TIME THE SKYLINE DEALERSHIP WAS CLOSED SO I DROVE MY VEHICLE TO LANDMARK FORD ALL THE WAY IN TIGARD. LANDMARK REPLACED MY DRAIN PLUG FOR FREE AND I DIDN'T LOOSE ANY MORE OIL WHEN THEY DID IT. SKYLINE'S A RIP OFF ON THEIR PRICES COMPARED TO OTHER FORD DEALERSHIPS. FOR EXAMPLE I WENT TO THE SKYLINE FORD IN KEIZER (BEFORE THE SOUTH SALEM ONE) WANTING TO KNOW HOW MUCH IT COSTS TO RETRIEVE MY DOOR CODE FROM THE FACTORY AND THEY SAID $60.00. LANDMARK FORD QUOTED ME $35.00. SKYLINE COSTS MORE FOR CETANE BOOSTER TOO! THEY WERE FRIENDLY BUT, WHEN I ASKED ABOUT THE COST OF THE REAR MAIN SEAL MR. ZAPIEN WOULDN'T ANSWER ME AND REALLY WANTED THOSE BALL JOINTS FIXED. THEY MUST WORK ON COMMISSION. I WILL DRIVE TO TIGARD LANDMARK FORD FOR ALL MY SERVICE. SKYLINE IS HORRIBLE.
