Update: Kurt - Skyline's Sales Manager - called me after the weekend to ask for details of the failed transaction. Ultimately, he offered to honor the original deal and I agreed. Both agreed that the gentlemen I dealt with at the Keizer lot would be talked to. I now have a very nice pickup and I'm happy with it. I stopped by to check out F-150s because I haven’t in a decade or so and I’m considering trading my pickup, which is currently in the body shop. The salesman I talked to, Joey, convinced me they would take my trade with only viewing the truck at the body shop, which they did after a couple days of trying to sell me a particular vehicle. We then went back and forth on terms for a deal for a couple more days until we settled on a deal. Eric, the finance manager at the Keizer dealership, took my personal information and ran my credit. Then, AFTER doing that, informed me that I would be signing all of the papers for the loan, registration, etc., but they would keep possession of the vehicle until they had a second look at my trade AFTER it is done at the body shop so they could decide if they want to go forward with a deal! I got upset and tried to explain to Eric that now I would be locked into a deal that I don’t know for sure will happen and if it doesn’t, I now have a hard pull for a large loan on my credit report, which could cause problems with any future attempt to trade my vehicle. He wasn’t interested in listening. He insisted on talking over me and insisting that he did me some kind of favor because he didn’t charge me a fee for holding a vehicle for a week. I told him I never asked anyone to do that. He kept repeating that this is a very popular vehicle, as if he was trying to motivate me to do business with these unethical xxxxxxxx. Eric still refuses to take any responsibility in the matter. I asked who his direct supervisor is and he gave me the name of some manager at a different dealership. Obviously, he was lying to me, so I called the other dealership and figured out who his supervisor is. I was told he would call me back. He never did. So, now I’m faced with getting someone at the dealership to contact credit reporting agencies and having the hit removed from my history and possibly having to use the DOJ to force them to fix the damage they have caused. I DO NOT RECOMMEND EVER DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! More

My son had a fantastic experience buying his first vehicle at Skyline Ford. I called the dealership to see if they had a specific vehicle and not only was Victor able to find one, he was able to get h vehicle at Skyline Ford. He was very friendly and enjoyable to work with. Sage helped us out with the closing process and all the paperwork - I appreciated his honesty and transparency. He knew I had been talking to several other dealers trying to find the perfect deal. When other dealers were sending me information on several different options and what they had in stock, Derrick asked more questions to really get to understand my wants, needs likes and dislikes. I had narrowed it down to 3 dealers, and was heavely leaning towards another dealer when Derrick asked he could just have 1 chance to get me what I wanted. I thought what do I have to lose...although I was leaning toward the purchase at the other dealer i felt as if I was settling and not getting everything I wanted..only what I had budgeted for. When I arrived at Skyline Ford in Keizer Derrick did not waste any time..he asked me a couple more questions and he pointed at the vehicle and asked what I thought...it was actually everything I wanted including my wish list of features. I thought there is no way this is going to fit into my budget. For that purpose I had been looking at used cars at the other dealers. Derrick, and his manager went to work applying rebates and discounts and knowing which finance companies had the best rates. When it was all said and done. I drove off the lot with my very first New vehicle, within budget and in my dream suv. With just a little patience, listening and creativity they made it happen for me.
