Gene was awesome and got us set up to get in and out with our new vehicle in record time as we had an appointment to get to. I would recommend Gene and everyone else at SF Ford for all your needs. our new vehicle in record time as we had an appointment to get to. The service department is horrible. My New F150 lost oil pressure and power while on the highway. Called SF Ford, and they said I had to contact roadside assistance for warranty work. C My New F150 lost oil pressure and power while on the highway. Called SF Ford, and they said I had to contact roadside assistance for warranty work. Called roadside assistance and was told no towing service in South Dakota. After a $500 tow to the dealership, the vehicle was at the dealership for a week. Had to call several times to find out the status of the vehicle. Once, manager Lyle said the vehicle was not there or in the shop and would get to it when they get to it. Service representative Miguel would never answer the phone and left several messages. Finally went to the dealership after a week to get the vehicle and had the paperwork thrown at me by Bill stating nothing wrong with your vehicle, no charge. Found out they had been having the courtesy drivers were drive my vehicle all week and went through a tank of gas and changed all the settings on my information screen, and left a bad smell in the vehicle. Left a complaint and have never heard anything back. More
Nick Wilson is a great salesman; very knowledgeable and personable. He wasn't "pushy" and made us feel very comfortable. He was very patient as he walked us through all the features of the vehicle we personable. He wasn't "pushy" and made us feel very comfortable. As for my salesman, I am very happy. As for the service center, specifically the the service writers, even more specifically Chad Gray… I don’t have a good word to say. I brought my vehi As for the service center, specifically the the service writers, even more specifically Chad Gray… I don’t have a good word to say. I brought my vehicle in at 9:45 AM for 3 recalls that had been scheduled roughly a month earlier due to the fact that some parts would need to be ordered. When I arrived I was told they may not have all the parts for my car. A FEW hours later I was told that I was “In Luck” and they had the parts on hand (I would hope so, they where ordered a month ago). At roughly 2:00 PM I saw my vehicle go on the rack and asked Chad Gray if nothing had even been started on the vehicle yet. Chad went out to check with the technician, came back and told me part of it was done but he still had other work to do so it would still be a while. If the work had not been started, I planned on rescheduling (at a different dealership). Now, having experience as an ASE certified technician, know what the parts are that they’re replacing, where they’re located, what they look like and approximately how long it should take to replace them. Also service writers, there is a window in the waiting room!!!! As I watched the technician through the window, I saw him START on my vehicle after I had been sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours and after Chad Gray had told me some of the work had been done. After being in the waiting room for a total of 7 plus hours I mentioned to Chad Gray that I would have appreciated it if would have just been honest and told none of the work had been started and I would have rescheduled. Chad Grays response was that he didn’t know what work had been done (which is ironic since that is what I asked him to check on and he gave me an answer). Then Chad told me that is what the shuttle service is for (in a fairly snarky manner, like I’m supposed to be my own shuttle driver?) which in the morning I was told that I lived to far away for the shuttle service. I also mentioned that when you have a 10:00 appointment, my expectation would be that my vehicle would be worked on at 10:00. I was then informed that (in fairly snarky manner) is just a drop off time and the service writers don’t schedule and that isn’t there fault (or problem, again this is apparently something the customer should have already know and handled on their own). To wrap this up, I WILL NEVER do business with the Sioux Falls Ford service department ever again. I made this claim many times in the past but this is the last straw. There are plenty of other Ford dealers in the area, no need to waist my time here and be treated like my time or opinions really just don’t matter. More
