They make you feel like family, until you realize what's actually going on. I was told they were giving me $27k trade in and a $900 discount, but when looking over my paperwork, I only received $25,500 for my trade in and no discount. When questioned, the response was that the extra amount was rolled into my tax savings....um, pretty sure that's not how that is supposed to work. I won't buy another car from Shottenkirk because of the bait and switch, and the additional $2k added to the price of the car for their one year care package that I wasn't aware of the cost of. The paperwork for the care package all say $0 cost. I love my new car and I'm trying really hard not to let this overshadow my excitement. I miss Mike Brown Hyundai. They were much more honest when I bought my last car from them. We had a bad experience with another Shottenkirk dealership in the DFW a couple years ago, didn't buy a car from them back then because of it, and we swore we'd never deal with them again. Lesson learned the hard way. More

However when I threatened to walk out and go to another Hyundai dealership, they then gave me the correct and appropriate trade in value. Why not just give the fair market price originally? Then, after getting a car in late early July, I have yet to receive my plates. I try to call the titling clerk and she was extremely rude. I mean terrible customer service when I am just trying to get legal items for my vehicle. However, instead of trying to help, she tried to blame me as if I don't check my mail. I have received many packages and items in the mail, none have been my license plates. I then asked, why not call or send an email to let me know the plates are in the mail so that I can be on the look out for them?". She then replies, "We do not have time to send emails about plates shipping to everyone that we do a deal with". I find that hard to believe because they can definitely remember to spam you with emails if you inquire about a vehicle on their website. They have time to spam emails about purchasing a car, but they can't send an email to say your license plates have been shipped? Especially when living in a city apartment where foot traffic is high and packages can be stolen or mistakenly picked up everyday. I mean make it make sense please. Then lastly, the terrible customer service from the titling clerk, absolutely unacceptable. More

But just like the Wicked Witch lured Hansel and Gretel into her house with Candy, both are going to put you in a boiling pot and cook you alive. Even a seasoned Car Buyer with money, clean low mile trade in, and a high 700 Credit Score is going to get snickered at the end of the day. If you really want that Vehicle, be fully prepared to go a full 16 rounds of a heavyweight fight. Just know at the end of the deal, you may have the car the other DFW Dealerships wish they had, Shottenkirk will have won the fight. Do yourself a favor, sell your trade to Carmax and wait for that new 2023 to come in somewhere else! More

Had to drive an hour from my house to get to the dealership (which isn't their fault), but only made the trip because the advertised price was so good. We drove the car and loved it and sat down to work out the details. When they showed us the walk out the door price, was floored to see that they had added almost $5,500 in additional dealer fees. This took the car way out of our price range. Not to mention all the back and forth negotiating (no less than 6 trips back to visit with the general manager). My wife started a timer when we sat down to talk price, and we finally got up and left at 1hr20min. I actually overheard one of the sales guys training a new hire and said "This job is really pretty easy. Just get the customer talking and don't let them leave." Buyer beware if your thinking of making the trek to Grandbury. More
