The work got done, wish the communications were better. I have a high end Avalon and there was a recall work to be done on dynamic cruise control brake component. I've postponed this for years because for a I have a high end Avalon and there was a recall work to be done on dynamic cruise control brake component. I've postponed this for years because for a long time Toyota did not have a fix and were initially going to just disable the functionality. Until recently. With prefix like this, it's understandable why any owner would think twice about having it done. In addition, when I scheduled the work about a month ago, I was told that all parts were not available and we needed to reschedule. Would be BETTER IF I DID NOT DRIVE DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT ABOUT THIS. Anyway, we rescheduled and this time, because of the previous error, instead of waiting, Shore Toyota gave me a loaner. This was Thursday morning. I was told someone would call me when it's done. By noon on Friday I became concerned because I do not live in the area and Friday night I was going to go home. When I called, I was told that someone will get back to me. No one did and about two hours later I called back and demanded to speak to service manager,(he left for the day), or anyone else in charge. When I explained that if I did not get my car fixed that day, the next time I was going to be down there and they were going to see their loaner would be in a week. They fixed it, the fix works fine. I wish the people in the service department learned to keep customers informed. BTW, I noticed that Now Dynamic Cruise Control does not shut off in a rain driving. Maybe it was just an accident, but I am still looking for the brighter side to this story. More
