Problem with steering wheel locking and key turning.. The steering wheel locked 3 times in 2 days. I purchased this Toyota new in 2012. and can't remember it ever locking up. The wheel locking up is not t The steering wheel locked 3 times in 2 days. I purchased this Toyota new in 2012. and can't remember it ever locking up. The wheel locking up is not the problem as I know and understand why. The 1st and 2nd time the wheel locked up I spent a few minutes trying to get the key to turn the car on. Finally it worked. It was more trouble than need be. The 3rd time I spent a full 5 minutes playing with the steering wheel without success. I was ready to call the dealership to have it towed to them for repairs when I gave it one more try and it worked. I drove to Shore Toyota and Assistant Service Mgr. Chris Bounds worked with me explaining how to avoid the wheel lock and turning the key.My big concern is that there is only a few hundred miles left on my warranty. Chris gave me a receipt for his time and said that would cover me for a while longer. Very professional More
