The service department treated my situation with respect and professional courtesy, which was very much appreciated as a new CT resident with a major car issue to deal with. I actually enjoyed buying our Subaru at Secor. I thought Wayne was very good at presenting the information we needed and went out of his way to make sure we understood the costs, financing, etc. I I thought Wayne was very good at presenting the information we needed and went out of his way to make sure we understood the costs, financing, etc. I thought the offer on our used car was reasonable. There was no pressure to buy. I did like the fact that hey took a personal check for payoff. Lastly, he spent some time sitting in the car with us showing a number of the features available in the car. That was very much appreciated. More
Jan 25 2025, Called prior to showing up to see vehicle. Dan was very nice on the phone. He had the car running and full of gas, ready for the test drive. Had some issues with the paperwork, the finance man Dan was very nice on the phone. He had the car running and full of gas, ready for the test drive. Had some issues with the paperwork, the finance manager could not explain the discrepancy in the numbers initally refusing to reprint the sales agreement. I just simply wanted him to explain what numbers added up to the sales price, He kept saying it was some tax but could not explain it, he finally changed the numbers to the correct ones so we could go forward with the purchase. Still waiting for dealer to honor their 'we owe' signed portion of the contract. Dealer stated they could not find an owners manual and offered a website to look at, basically gave up. Buyer had to source owners manual and ask for a check back. If the buyer could get a OEM owner's manual there is no reason why the dealer could not. Still waiting for check for the difference between loan amount and contract. Update. Feb 7, 2025, asked multiple times over the last 2 weeks for the dealer to refund the overpayment of the loan. Dealership stated after the loan clears they would issue the check and claimed after 2 weeks the loan still did not clear. I called Navy Federal Credit Union and found out the check was deposited into the dealerships account two days after they received it. Navy Federal is awesome. Knowing this I called the dealership back and demanded they issue the check and stated if they continue to refuse I would be filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and CT State Attorney General and then they immediate had the check ready. In CT the dealership is legally obligated to return the excess amount to the buyer so I am not sure the point of refusing to refund the customer's overpayment. All that for 70 dollars. Seems kinda ridiculous, I mean wouldn't you rather provide a good buying experience so the customer returns and tells his friends he had a good experience? Buyer beware and also be cautious of all the positive reviews. Seems weird all the local dealerships are rated 4.7 out of 5 on google!?? More
