According to the vendor Ms. Sarah Johnson, The manager who's name is Dave Olso won't sell a car to a client if they are using their own bank or a military out of state. I want to think is that and not because I am a latino. Please go to another dealer to avoid hassle with these one. Thank you for not supporting the military community. More
On my way to work an alert popped up on my BMW X5 screen “Drivetrain Malfunction”, I was around the corner from our garage. The vehicle drove normal so I thought maybe just a glitch. Parked my car and wen “Drivetrain Malfunction”, I was around the corner from our garage. The vehicle drove normal so I thought maybe just a glitch. Parked my car and went back for lunch but alert still on screen, as I pulled out of my spot the car just died. It started again enough to move out of the middle of the drive. We had our BMW X5 towed to Sandia BMW, they kept telling us could be this this or maybe that but could never tell us for sure what the problem was. Then 2 wks later said metal found in oil. Asked service manager if 100% sure not their fault, that whatever they did could have caused the metal and he said no but maybe 90%. They did not seem to know how to fix the problem or could ever tell us for sure what the cause was. He said in his 20 years he has never seen this issue. Very hard to believe since they are supposed to be a trusted source for BMW’s. They charged us $1106 for a fuel pump and we had to have our car towed home since they could not fix it. Said we needed a new engine since metal shavings in oil and would cost initially $18-20k. However after talking to service director possibly $16-18k, that was a discounted price. Horrible, customer service, how can you tell a customer maybe this or might be that but not know when we trust you to be the expert. We spoke to the service manager on several occasions and he gave us the run around also. Then when we spoke to the General Manager, he had no clue nor seemed to care either. Service manager encouraged us to just trade in due to situation however we were told they were only offered $2k for our vehicle. As we were leaving the facility I was looking at another vehicle similar to mine and the General Manager approached when he saw me and told me he would never encourage anyway to buy a BMW X5 with a twin turbo motor because they are horrible but yet it was one displayed on their floor. Very disappointing, will never buy a vehicle from Sandia BMW nor use their service! More
Overall the service was not what I would expect from a luxury car dealer. The new car sales manager is extremely rude when things don't go his way. They wait till the last minute to pay trade-ins, even wh luxury car dealer. The new car sales manager is extremely rude when things don't go his way. Be warned, this dealer will attempt to scam you out of thousands. I called about purchasing a new motorcycle from them offering my current bike as trade (also a BMW). The offer on my trade was well below thousands. I called about purchasing a new motorcycle from them offering my current bike as trade (also a BMW). The offer on my trade was well below its value, keep in mind I’m talking trade in value not retail and the price that they would demand for it. The salesman I spoke to was polite initially until I asked him why they wouldn’t offer me what it was worth as a trade and then he told me of another customer that they had scammed on a similar trade and that if I wanted more for it that I should go to another dealer because they wouldn’t pay cycle trader prices, I then told him that my price was blue book trade in value he lost his attitude and said he’d talk to the sales manager and call me back, as you can probably expect that hasn’t happened and likely won’t, they’ll just wait for some poor sucker to scam instead. Highly recommend that you don’t be that sucker, know the value of your vehicle and don’t be blinded by something new. As this and the Santa Fe branch are the only dealers in New Mexico and owned by the same group look out of state for a dealer that will treat customers with respect and are willing to deal fairly. Over a three month period, my service coordinator, Scott worked with the other dealership to resolve the problems. Sandia BMW is a high-quality business with amazing customer service. I’ll be returning for my future maintenance and highly recommend their vehicle service team. More
Just wanted to give a positive shout out for the excellent service I recently received from Sandia BMW. I was in Albuquerque last week for a wedding having driven there from my home in Denver. I h excellent service I recently received from Sandia BMW. I was in Albuquerque last week for a wedding having driven there from my home in Denver. I had picked up a troubling noise from the trip, coming from the front undercarriage of my 7 series BMW. I was worried about making the trip back to Denver not knowing the source of the noise, so I called up the service department of Sandia BMW Friday morning and was able to get it in immediately for an inspection. It turned out being a loose nut at the left thrust arm ball joint. They torqued it up for me and that fixed the problem... but it very well could have come off on my way home which would have been disastrous. My service advisor, Ruben Garcia, treated me very professionally and courteously! They spent a good hour inspecting the vehicle and didn't charge me a dime! First class outfit! More
