wheel lock key missing, now have damaged wheel purchased 2018 Compass, wheel lock key not present @delivery. asked to come back to replace with new locks. Returned to wait 1.5 hours to find out the purchased 2018 Compass, wheel lock key not present @delivery. asked to come back to replace with new locks. Returned to wait 1.5 hours to find out they had to "drill" the old ones off and in the process damaged one of my rims. was asked when i could return to leave my vehicle for a day so they could "repair/repaint" the damage. Based on the damage, i don't anticipate they repair being up to my standards. I asked why they would repair and not replace but was left without a positive answer other than they must have felt it was in the dealerships best financial interest to do so. I felt my inconvenience was not taken into consideration since i already made the 1.5 hr round trip to have my wheel damaged and now being asked to make two trips back to leave my vehicle overnight for the repair. I do not fault Mamie, our sales associate she was great, or Mary, my service adviser, she was apologetic, for any of this, but i feel the dealership management needs to take a better look into this and weigh their cost to fix the issue and replace the rim, which would take one trip, versus my inconvenience to help them hopefully repair it to my standards and spend two trips to save them a few dollars at best, if actually saving any money at all. What's the cost of a new rim vs. paying a tech to repair and repaint, give me a loaner vehicle and have me wait at least a day to have my vehicle back before i've even made the first payment?? More
