I set up a service appointment to have the sliding power door lock actuator replaced under extended warranty by Dodge Chrysler Fiat. I called two days ago to get an appointment and to ensure that the part n door lock actuator replaced under extended warranty by Dodge Chrysler Fiat. I called two days ago to get an appointment and to ensure that the part needing replacement was going to be in stock when I arrived for my Thursday appointment. I was assured that it would be and that the person who was I was speaking to would leave a note for them to make sure that someone called me on Wednesday to let me know how long my appointment would last. Long story short I receive no call from Russ Darrow Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Milwaukee prior to my appointment at 7 AM this morning. I showed up for my appointment and the service reps didn’t even know how to process this extended warranty (15 years/150,000 miles) even though I provided them the corporate letter that was being mailed to all of their potential customers. They then tried to charge me $150 diagnostic fee which I approved because I knew that the only reason my door lock would be buzzing was due to a failure of this part that they were recalling and Dodge-Chrysler extending the warranty. After an hour of sitting waiting for the diagnosis the rep then comes back and tells me that they don’t even have the replacement part in stock and that I just wasted nearly an hour and a half of my time. No offer was made for my inconvenience for their incompetence and disorganization. I I was offered was the weak excuse that they no longer have anyone actually on the site of Darrow Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Milwaukee to set up the service appointments … instead, they have a “call center” is what the rep said and the call-center has no direct contact with their parts department or anything else so they don’t know anything that’s going on at the dealership. Unless uts a basic oil change, I recommend avoiding getting service at Darrow Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Milwaukee as you could find yourself with two hours of waste of time still needing to have your car fixed. I’m going to Wilde Dodge Chrysler in Waukesha on Monday to get my part replaced. More
