False Advertising- The car was not legally operable Our car was totaled and we needed a car ASAP. I called and talked to "Jenny" twice on the phone prior to visiting Russ Darrow Honda to confirm the inf Our car was totaled and we needed a car ASAP. I called and talked to "Jenny" twice on the phone prior to visiting Russ Darrow Honda to confirm the information in the ad that I saw online for a 2014 Kia Forte. I told her that we were coming from Chicago and not once did she mention that the car was not legally operable. We arrive at the dealership and ask for George or Victor as prompted by "Jenny". We then start speaking to Mike and he promptly pulls out a paper with at least 10 different issues with the car and then he proceeds to tell us that the car is not legally operable but wanted us to look at some other cars...... Mind you there is nothing advertised about the car being legally inoperable. There was nothing noted in the Carfax either. SO they had time to take the car in and inspect the car but neglected to update the Carfax???? I am confused. They used the low price point of the car as bait to get us into the dealership to try to sell us different cars. Given the urgency of our situation and the long-distance we had to travel to go see the car, I find this extremely disrespectful. I will never purchase a car from any of the Russ Darrow dealerships and I will continue to notify people of their unethical tactics. More
