I talked to the internet sales person (Selena) on the phone and told her that I am looking for a Black 2014.5 Camry SE with a moonroof. I explained to her that I had already test driven the car at another dealership but they did not have Black. She assured me that if I come down, they would match my deal and that the car that I want would be sitting in front of the store when I got there. I told her that I could be there right away, but please don not have me come all of the way there and then tell me that I can't get my payment. She again assured me that I came to the right place because they don't haggle people. So I drove there only to find that she did not talk to anyone about me coming. When I got with a salesman, he tried to get me to take a deal with payments of $70 more. So I told him that Selena promised me my deal on the phone, he didn't accept that. Next, I asked him to get the manager and pull up the tape of our conversation since that tape for quality assurance. To my surprise they did! He and the Manager came back after an hour and said that they reviewed the tape and they apologized because the conversation went just as I had said. However, they would not honor the deal. I was there two hours. The manager still tried to talk me up to $50 higher per month. I asked him did he care about the reputation of his shop and he extended his hand to shake. So I left. As I look at all of the negative reviews that this dealership has, I can see that they do not care. Their customer service is horrible! The do not have one positive review on Yelp. More

It took about 3 weeks for me to finally come in and I am so happy I finally did. Ricardo C was my sales rep but I asked to see Thomas since we had talked on the at least 2x a week for the past 3 weeks. Both men were extremely helpful. I test drove the LE 2014 Highlander, I wasnt in love but I was lusting after it. I wanted the XLE model for the navigation. After a short while, Ricardo came back and told me they had an XLE model in Black like I wanted but not black interior. When I went out to see the car, I did what I know I should not have done, fall in love. But have you see this machine? I deferred on the test drive and just sat in in and let my mind take to my bank account and earnings so make sure I could afford it. With the one-price rule in effect I knew the car price before Ricardo pointed it out to me. All in all, I love this dealership and the sales reps. Ricardo C. and everyone in the Financing department were on point and knowledgeable. I only wish I came here last year. But then again I would be in a 2013 Highlander and the 2014 is so much better. If you looking for a car, head on over to Route 22 Toyota. Sure Route 22 traffic is horrible but I would sit in rush hour traffic on the GWB for my car. More

Phenomenal Experience Jorge was great from the first time we met. He listened to our needs, made suggestions and had vechicles available for us to test drive on the spot Jorge was great from the first time we met. He listened to our needs, made suggestions and had vechicles available for us to test drive on the spot and was responsive to each and every question my wife and I had thrown at him about different features and models. His manager, Jay also worked with us to get the max amount for our trade in and Max in the finance dept was also great as he got us out of the dealership in a timely fashion as we had our two young children with us. Everyone we dealt was was friendly, courteous and professional! If 5 stars is the gold standard, the guys at Route 22 should get 6 stars and be the platinum standard! More

Lack of competency to service Prius My Prius failed NJ inspection due to a OBDII code. The Inspection Center printed and gave me the actual report as they are supposed. Based on that I v My Prius failed NJ inspection due to a OBDII code. The Inspection Center printed and gave me the actual report as they are supposed. Based on that I verified Toyota OBDII code diagnostics which said the 3-way coolant flow control valve needs to be replaced. I asked this Toyota dealership Service center to do that. Instead I was told that I have to pay $100+ for diagnostics first and then they will tell me if this is the problem! I asked them why they do not believe Toyota's own OBDII codes and their response was, they cannot be sure if that will fix the problem. So I told them I will get it done elsehwhere and started walking out. The manager then called me back and said they will do the diagnostics free! I thought that was fair and shook hands. Little did I know what will happen next! After a 30 mins, I was told the car had a slew of problems - that it had HVAC problem, Hybrid Control problem, Cruise Control problem, HV battery problem etc! I told them that I never once experienced any of these problems including upto an hour ago when I brought the car to them! I asked the technician what exactly he did and he admitted 'he only hooked to the OBDII terminal and read of it'. So suddenly they seemed to have developed confidence in OBDII codes! Anyway I declined their services and took the car to another certified repair shop licensed to do Inspection repair. They read OBDII, their report came up consistent with what the original inpection center report said ie the same one code which meant the 3-way coolant flow conyrol valve needed replacement. They did that for nearly half the price that the dealership quoted to me (just for that one piece of work - the dealership obviously would have charged me a couple thousand dollars if I had believed their litany of so called troubles!). I drove the car for 40 miles and then went for re-inspection and the car passed with no issues or negative codes. There is no way for me to know whether the Route 22 Toyota Service department was simply incompetent or were trying something worse to get more work and charge for it. Either case it is not a place I will go to in future and would advise anyone interested to avoid them based on this experience More
