The entire staff at Rockland Hyundai was really friendly and welcoming. I usually have bad experiences with salesmen in dealerships trying to make a quick sale and this was totally not the case this time. I never felt rushed or forced to purchase a vehicle. Cliff in finance was so kind and did a phenomenal job working within my budget. Everything worked in my favor at the end, and I would tell anyone who's looking to get into a new or used vehicle no matter the situation... give these guys a visit. They were an excellent team! More

Service department Had my car towed here. Service was closed when I got there so went inside. Very friendly and helpful GM who had someone give me a ride home which was Had my car towed here. We are not ready to purchase or lease a new car for him, because of the expense...BUT, we wanted a car that was used from a reputable dealership. We found a car that we were very interested in. We had a really nice trade in. They gave us a really low offer (below book value), I knew that a trade in will not get us the book value, but they REALLY low balled us....I guess the sales man really wanted us to dive in to a new car finance or lease...we are NOT ready for that...Once he figured that out, he "dismissed" us....anyway, a couple of days later, we found the EXACT same car at a DCH dealership....They gave us $2200.00 ABOVE what Hyundai of Rockland offered us for our trade....We were treated with respect and understanding, and not ONCE did they try to push us into a new car purchase. I will not ever shop at Rockland Hyundai again More
Exceeded my expectations I took a 20 mile drive- out of my area- to Rockland Hyundai after a brutal experience at the White Plains Hyundai dealership the day before. I spent a long time with Roger Garcia configuring the car I wanted with all the options (Santa Fe Sport, AWD, Turbo, Tech Package). Roger could not have been more patient and helpful. He is thoroughly knowledgeable about the car and all the options. Roger and Melvin worked with me to structure a reasonable lease deal. When the exact car I wanted was not readily available (due to popularity and an interruption in production), Roger hung in there and was determined that the dealership would obtain the car for me. I was so close to giving up! However, Rockland acquired this car when several other dealerships told me they could not do so. All the Rockland Hyundai personnel I met were professional and courteous. I feel blessed to have worked with Roger, who is a quiet, patient and modest man, yet at every roadblock, he consistently surpassed my expectations in helping me close this deal and get the car I wanted. I’m so glad I found Rockland Hyundai and I’m grateful to Roger, Melvin & Lisa for a pleasant and productive car buying experience. More

When I walked in I was introduced to William Ventura who helped me throughout the whole process. I am glad I was because he went above and beyond. I was driving a 2009 Sonata limited and knew I wanted an upgrade. William asked me various questions to help me decide what would be my next best car. After showing me different cars and models, I decided to stay with the Sonata but the 2015 limited!!! He explained all the new features and I knew that's what I wanted. I couldn't say no to the deal he presented me. He did not pressure or rush me into any decisions and was very patient throughout the whole process. I am very satisfied with the service I received at Rockland Hyundai and would recommend everyone to stop by and see William!! Thanks again! More
Terrible used car buying experience, false price advertising I was looking for a used Honda Odyssey, when I noticed a nice model advertised at this dealership. My initial contact on the phone was with Altheda Ba I was looking for a used Honda Odyssey, when I noticed a nice model advertised at this dealership. My initial contact on the phone was with Altheda Bastein, who told me that that they were willing to give me at least $500 off the listed price if I came to see the car. I also specifically asked her if there would be any additional charges and was told that they only charge some kind of $75 fee. To confirm this, Altheda sent this offer to me by email. When I got to the dealership, Melvin Abreu (Sales Manager) and his sales person flat out refused to honor the price provided to me by Altheda. They tried to make up reasons why I should pay even more than the asking sticker price. These included extensive repairs, warranty and even shipping (on a used car!). The Carfax report lists that they have only done some very minimal repairs, such as changing the brakes and wiper blades. In reality it makes no difference what the Carfax says or what they really spent on the vehicle. The real problem is that this dealer tries to hassle people for money and they will not honor their quoted discounted or even sticker prices. I even agreed to sign an "AS-IS" condition sale, so I won't have to buy the so-called $795 mandatory 90 days warranty. The fact is the state of NY Lemon Law provides automatic coverage for dealer sold used cars for 90 days/4,000 mi. for vehicles with less than 36,000 miles. It further requires car dealers to provide a written proof of this coverage. But, even with this "warranty" off the table, Melvin would still only sell me the car for $1,000 more than what they committed to in the email and on the phone. When I wrote an email to Melvin to give him another chance to sell me the car at the promised discounted price, he responded that it was magically sold the next day. A week later, the car is still on their web site and a call to the dealership confirmed that it is still available. It is this dishonest and unethical practice that gives good car dealers a bad name.
