Can't even get the basics right. I've had two experiences with this service department. My first was when I brought in a Terrain that I recently bought used. I wanted some general m I've had two experiences with this service department. My first was when I brought in a Terrain that I recently bought used. I wanted some general maintenance and a multi-point inspection. Those services were performed in a timely fashion, but when I got home I realized that I was missing 2 lug nuts. Those were replaced at no charge, but I had to bring the vehicle back in. I was also told that I needed new wiper blades, but I had just put on brand new blades on the front and rear 4 days earlier. I figured anyone can make a mistake, so I decided to make an appointment for my 2018 3500 HD DRW truck's second service while my terrain had lug nuts installed. When I brought in my truck, I specifically underlined the tire rotation on the work order. 3 hours later(I was waiting on it) my truck rolled around front and I could see that tires had not been rotated(I marked them). The technician stated that they can't rotate tires on dually trucks because the rubber had to be dismounted in order to rotate them properly. I had to point out in the owner's manual where it describes the proper tire rotation pattern for dually trucks with polished rims to the technician. It DOES NOT require the tires to be dismounted, in fact it is extremely quick and simple. He apologized and went on to perform the tire rotation. This took almost another hour to complete, which would have been acceptable if the wheels were balanced as well, but they were not. People leverage a dealership because they expect the service department to be experts on the brand. I should not have to explain simple procedures like tire rotation to your technician. Nor should I have to worry whether safety items, like lug nuts, are properly installed. This is pure incompetence at the most basic levels of an operating service department. I'm a loyal Chevrolet driver, but I will never use or recommend this service department again. Nor will I consider purchasing my next GM vehicle from any of Rick Hendrick's dealers. More
