When I was in for warranty service and an oil change I was told I needed to have my brakes replaced on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 24550 miles. The cost was well over $1000. I declined the addition was told I needed to have my brakes replaced on my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 24550 miles. The cost was well over $1000. I declined the additional service since it seemed VERY early. Today I took a wheel off to replace the pads myself (rotors are fine) to find that in 24k miles I have only used 1.51mm out of the 12mm. The pad material thickness is still 10.49mm! I now do not trust their service department to give me honest information at all. This was a clear and blatant attempt to profit from unnecessary parts and labor charges. I wonder how many customers they have scammed prior to me with unnecessary auto maintenance and repair? I will NEVER go to this Jeep Chrysler Dodge service department again and will tell anyone else not to either. DISHONEST auto service recommendations for profit! This was FAR from a little upselling.
