I bought a used Genesis G90 (at another dealership) still under warranty and booked an online service appointment at the McCombs dealership. The website informed me I was eligible for their Concierge Service under warranty and booked an online service appointment at the McCombs dealership. The website informed me I was eligible for their Concierge Service. I didn't opt for a loaner, just the free pickup. I received a text confirmation, the name of a service writer, and was told that they would text when they were on their way. No one texted and no one showed up. On the third call to the service department, I finally was able to speak to a live human who informed me that they hadn't honored the Concierge Service since November due to a lack of vehicles. Not only did he have no record of my confirmation, he didn't even show a service appointment. When I reminded him that it was their website that offered the service and accepted the appointment, he said there was nothing they could do about the website. His attitude was blatantly indifferent. No apology, no acceptance of responsibility, no offer to accommodate my service need. Nothing. He could not have cared less. So I went to my trusted shop for the oil chance and will probably go to Austin for the warranty work, hoping that the Genesis dealer there won't offer such pathetic service. More
I had been working with a particular salesman for over a month, waiting on the vehicle to arrive at Red McCombs. I called the dealer to confirm and she said it was in fact in and would I like to make an appointment. I did and one hour and q5 minutes after I hung up, I arrived at the dealer only to find that it was sold. xxx Red McCombs. xxxx poor business. There are other Hyundai dealers in the area. Time to go elsewhere. More
Horrible service department. Took almost 2 hours just for an oil change. I was the first one in line WITH an appointment. What an awful experience 😢 We bought a 2016 Nissan Versa from them this month. It has broke down three times now with serious problems (alternator, serpentine belt, battery, spark plugs, CVT flush etc). The from them this month. We’ve gotten to drive it less than a week in the past month. We’ve had to have it towed three times. We’ve asked them for help. They refused to do anything. The car had a cracked windshield when we purchased it. They replaced the windshield. And the seal is popping out on both sides. Now we have to bring it in again and have them fix it. I have called and called and called them. They do not return calls. When I finally get someone to talk to me, they say they will talk with someone else and call me back. They do not call back. Our car still has the temporary plates. What a bummer to buy a car that is in bad mechanical condition. Red McCombs do not stand behind their cars that they sell. They do not care that I was stranded on the side of the road with my elderly father-in-law in the heat without air-conditioning. They only seem to care that they sold the car. Besides what we put down on the car and paid for the car, we are out another couple of thousand dollars. We did purchase the extended warranty. However most of what needed done is not covered under the warranty. Be aware that you might be buying a lemon if you purchase here. We were told the car was in good condition. We found out the car was not in good condition. We did test drive the car. It had a little squeal in the belt. I asked them to fix it. They said it was fine. It still squealed. I asked them again to fix it. They said there was nothing wrong with it and to put some oil on it and it won’t squeal. Otherwise the car seemed to be in fine shape. When I asked about the inspection, they said they do a 12 point inspection and not a 17 point inspection. This car passed that inspection.We are very disappointed in purchasing this car from this dealership. As of today, this car is still at a Nissan dealer in the service shop being repaired. At a minimum, we think they should have helped with a rental car, some of the repairs, or at least returned phone calls and taken care of their customer. More
Service for SCC being out , after waiting 3 hrs just to have the tech discover it was just a unplugged wheel hub but I had to make the Service Rep tell me what was wrong. It was just sign this and this again having basically bully this xxxxxxx to tell me what was wrong . To add the tech left my driver side car matt dirty with grease again why dealerships fail to use the paper protectors ? This is why Hyundai has customers disgusted with the brand for lack of customer service after the sell! More
