Had vehicle services. Asked them to check alignment also possible exhaust leak. Did not do either this vehicle only has 48000 miles on it. My wife and I checked with several dealers before finding a great deal on a new Pacifica Hybrid at Gerry Wood. They made the process as straightforward as possible, and we drove off happy customers. 15 miles later, our brand new van started overheating. The way everyone at Gerry Wood dealt with us over the next few days was remarkable. When I arrived back at the dealership with the van on a tow truck and there were no rental cars available, they gave me a new car off their lot as a loaner. When we decided we wanted a different van, they worked with us to find a comparable one at another dealership in Georgia and deliver it to us. Under NC law, our only remedy was having the original van repaired under the manufacturer’s warranty, but the folks at Gerry Wood understood our desire for a van we could count on. (The original van’s idler pulley had been installed incorrectly at the factory, and we wondered whether lasting damage might have been done by the overheating incident.) David Neal, Dillon Brewer, and David Garner showed us the kindness and understanding you hope to receive from friends but tend not to expect from car salesmen. Their integrity allowed us to walk away from an unfortunate situation feeling very well cared for, and that made us incredibly grateful to have bought our new vehicle from Gerry Wood. More
