Mr. Watson, We are bound by the terms of the First Maintenance Service guidelines set by Cadillac. When you purchased your vehicle from Fields Cadillac there should have been a document, that is required by Cadillac to be signed, with the details of this service and the expiration. Since your 1 year had expired we applied the only option Cadillac has available to us which was the $100.00 goodwill maintenance offer. Pls forgive me... apparently I'm English impaired. When a man tells me he must get permission to work on my car... I assume he must get permission to work on my car. As to the earlier problems they stemmed from a guarantee that seemed to be worthless (wheel/tire ins vs. NOTHING is covered??). To support my position let me point out that the body shop re-pained my wheels, (in error at no charge to me) after a few problems w/paint peeling off, and wonder of wonders... NO MORE PROBLEMS. Again, you'll forgive me if, in light of observed performance, I assume that PROPERLY PAINTED WHEELS generate few if any problems... Had Paula NOT switched me to ANOTHER writer... HAD the other WRITER responded to the three calls I placed to him, I would NOT have been forced to take this car to another service provider, resulting in ADDITIONAL PROBLEMS FOR ME... I might believe you haver an interest in the wellbeing of your clients. IF I've misjudged, please forgive me. I merely responded to what I was told or when I was ignored. Mrs. S, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your service experience at our dealership. We sincerely appreciate your feedback. I apologize about the loaner vehicle situation. We have had a very difficult time obtaining vehicles to be used as loaner vehicles due the production issues at Cadillac. This has affected most manufacturers as well. We have a very limited number of vehicles available and sometimes we schedule for a loaner to be returned but it is not returned as expected causing scheduling conflicts with loaner reservations. We did perform the updated repair per the Cadillac Service Bulletin. I explained during the phone conversation I had that this was a fluid exchange with a new designed fluid and that it could take up to 200 miles for it to fully take affect. The modifications to the fluid has to soak into the clutches and converter clutches to fully resolve what is commonly called a "shudder". We have had great success in the updated fluid taking care of this concern. If the condition continues to persist, we would be happy to re-address the concern. We are extremely fed up with the standard "Covid" excuse! If its so difficult to perform a daily function i.e. Automotive Services maybe you should stop selling and start taking care of existing customers? To say that everyone is experiencing the same problems simply is your diversion from taking responsibility for the mistakes you've made. It's time we start taking responsibility! No where in your reply do you offer to not only take responsibility but offer to actually resolve our problems! Rather, we are given lame excuses without any sort of resolution. Is that how you run your business? "Sorry for the 7 day inconvenience and not repairing your vehicle but we hope we can win back your business?" The car is still broken and again, you offer nothing more than an excuse. Sad business model but common in today's economic decline.
