I went to Randy Kuehl Honda with a very specific car in mind that I wanted to purchase that day. Initial contact with Isaiah Townsend over the phone got the ball rolling so that when we arrived at the deal mind that I wanted to purchase that day. Initial contact with Isaiah Townsend over the phone got the ball rolling so that when we arrived at the dealer he had the car pulled up in front and ready for a test drive. Overall my experience with Isaiah was excellent. He went out of his way to get me the price I wanted on the car, and was always friendly and straightforward. My experience with the other staff at Randy Kuehl was not so great though. When I went in to buy the car, signing the paper work took much longer than I expected as it turned out that the appointment sent up by one person, was not honored by another. The finance officer also pushed options despite my apparent annoyance, leaving me feeling as if what I wanted, and thought did not matter to him. Lastly, there were some additionally pieces of the car that needed to be replaced, and so far, almost two weeks after I purchased the car, the dealership/service department seems to be dragging their feet in the ordering of the part. From what I have gathered, there have been communications errors going from one person to another, both inside and outside of the service department. If you go to this dealer, I would strongly recommend dealing with Isaiah Townsend, but would caution against the other staff members. More

Even after the sale, I had some questions, and he was glad to answer them, and answerd quickly! they offered me a deal that was very good. then when i went too close on the deal they said they good not go thru with the deal. I've been a Toyota driver for over ten years encompassing 6 different vehicles so it was tough for me to come to Honda. Isaiah did a nice job and was friendly and we came to a reasonable deal. He worked hard to find the Ridgeline I wanted and I was appreciative of that. My only complaint was that after the deal was made I didn't get enough communication from him until I called to ask the status. After that, he did a nice job of keeping me informed. I thought the process of picking up the vehicle was a bit drawn out but I wouldn't want to put that on Isaiah and I tend to be a bit impatient and when I think I have a definite time for an appointment I expect that that is the time that things will be done. I am looking forward to working with the people there and hopeful that the experience will be as good as what I have been used to with Toyata. More

All at Randy Kuehl Honda were friendly and helpful and I payed a good price in relation to my budget for a used car purchase. I had a terrible experience at Randy Kuehl Honda. When I test drove a Honda Ridgeline, the seats were quite dirty. The sales associate assured me that the seats would be professionally cleaned if I purchase test drove a Honda Ridgeline, the seats were quite dirty. The sales associate assured me that the seats would be professionally cleaned if I purchased the vehicle. I arranged for the seats to be cleaned and came back and bought the vehicle a few days later. At the time of purchase, the seats were still slightly damp. As they dried, it became apparent that the seats were still extremely dirty and were in need of additional cleaning or replacement. I contacted the dealership and was told that they were unable to help me in any way. It is apparent to me that Randy Kuehl Honda only provides remotely adequate customer service before the sale. Once they have your money, they become unresponsive. I ended up replacing as much of the interior as I could by purchasing the parts from a competing dealership. I have not returned to Randy Kuehl Honda since.My seats still look terrible because it isn't cost effective to replace them and seat covers that still allow the airbags to deploy are also very expensive. I have, on the other hand, received exceptional service at Billion Honda in Iowa City and strongly recommend them if you need a Honda dealership in the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City area. Update: Randy Kuehl's reply claims that they have taken steps to address issues like this. They contacted me within the past sixty days to inquire about getting my vehicle serviced there. I once again told them about this problem and received absolutely no reply. They are aware of the complaint but are choosing to ignore it. To be very clear: Randy Kuehl acknowledges knowing about the issue but has chosen to do absolutely nothing to address it. Keep that in mind when deciding whether or not to buy a car from them. More

I have bought two new Hondas from Randy Kuehl and have been happy with both purchases. I could have gotten a lower price outside of Cedar Rapids, but I would have had more travel in the initial purchase. been happy with both purchases. I have also been pleased with their service with a few minor complaints, which can happen over seven years of dealing with anyone. The latest deal they gave with a new purchase was Free Tires for Life if you have you car serviced only by them. The catch is they want to rotate the tires every 4,000 miles and if you are past that, it voids the Free Tires deal. I think 6,000 to 8,000 miles on one rotation is fine so I ended up buying my own tires and now get free rotation from the tire dealership plus I am much happier with the newer tires. More
