Prior to contacting Chanin Dirks who is an outstanding salesperson at Randy Kuehl, I had contacted at least five other dealerships in the midwest to get quotes on a particular Honda CRV I was interested in. They beat all of their competition . They gave me a fair and reasonable price for my trade-in. During the entire buying process I never felt pressured to buy packages that I did not need or want. After the sale Chanin Dirks made himself available to answer any of our questions and to show us the different features of our particular CRV, of which there were many. I did not have to drive 100 miles in order to buy a Honda CRV, but I'm glad I did. More

Sales representative lied to us. Initial experience with Ron Lowenberg was great. At the time we arrived to purchase our CRV Ron was busy so Steve told us he could help us with our p Initial experience with Ron Lowenberg was great. At the time we arrived to purchase our CRV Ron was busy so Steve told us he could help us with our purchase. In discussing add-on's with Steve we were considering a roof rack specifically to carry a canoe and a receiver hitch for carrying a bicycle rack. Steve told us these accessories would work perfect on our CRV. When we had the roof rack installed at the dealership I was shocked to learn that the cross bars are fixed at 2' apart an cannot be moved to provide a stable base for a 14' long canoe. It seems that after the rack installation everyone else in the dealership knew that these rails were not adjustable. When I discussed with Steve that I was not at all happy with my rack purchase I was told that I should have known it would not work for my purpose even though there are no roof rack dimensions in any literature and he was told specifically what the intended purpose was. I was informed on more than one occasion that there was nothing this dealership would do to make this right for me. Fortunately Honda USA does care about their customers and did make this issue right even though the dealership does not care after the sale has been completed. Given the $900 dealer price of the receiver we decided to investigate an after market receiver from a local muffler shop. At the time of our Honda purchase Steve was surprised we would consider another receiver because the dealer would provide only genuine Honda parts and their service staff new the vehicle best. When we eventually had our "Draw Tight" receiver installed at the local muffler shop for 1/3 the price I learned that they do all receiver installations for new Randy Kuehl vehicles. In fact they had installed receivers on two of their new vehicles that very morning. Steve and the sales management perpetuate the very poor cliche image of an uncomfortable and unprofessional car purchase experience . More
