I was looking for a particular used vehicle on the internet, and found it at Ramsey Volvo. It was very clean and priced decently so I went into the dealer to look into the details. He was nice, friendly, and relatively informative considering that it wasn't a vehicle that this dealer typically sells. I wound up running the numbers and committing to the purchase. Stan was good throughout the process, taking care of things in a timely manner. He was also willing to beat the finance deal that my personal bank had offered, which was appreciated. Ultimately I got what I wanted and it went smoothly. Overall, though, there were a couple of turn-offs throughout the process. I don't appreciate when dealers run the numbers for 72mo financing w/o mentioning the timeframe; I had to specifically ask for him to divulge that. Running them at 72 w/o asking my preferred timeframe seems to be a slick way of making it appear cheaper. Secondly, Stan wasn't too willing to negotiate price; He said the vehicle was priced competitively and that was basically as good as it was going to get. I wound up squeezing a few hundred dollars off the price, because the vehicle was missing a couple of the factory things (floor mats, spare key, etc.) Stan insisted that the spare key would likely be inexpensive from the dealer as it "didn't appear to have a computer chip inside." Well, come to find out after the fact, pretty much all new cars in the last few years are chipped, and they all cost $300+ to make. I know that Stan must have been keen to this fact, but clearly had no interest in negotiating that nut into the sale of the vehicle. Lastly, it wasn't mentioned through the number-running that there would be about $1000 in dealer fees tacked onto the price. An $800 'used car setup fee' appeared on the final receipt, as well as a $200 DMV allowance. (I was supposed to be refunded the difference of DMV costs from this allowance, which would have been substantial since I was only transferring plates, but I never received said refund. This may be a DMV issue, rather than a dealer issue, but I don't know for sure.) These fee's were included in the original monthly payment calculation, but never mentioned to me during the process. This brought the 'competitive' price back up to an average price for the vehicle. Ultimately, since I was looking for a specific used car, and they had it, I was going to buy it regardless, but I can definitely say that I didn't get a great feeling from this dealership, I don't feel like I received a particularly great deal, and would not recommend this place to anyone in the future. More

I must say I had the best experience leasing my new 2013 Volvo S60 at Ramey Volvo. I have financed and leased numerous vehicle's all different brands. I must say though dealing with Gary Parker was a blast not only is he an extremely nice guy but very knowledgable. Gary made it painless and got right to the point. He gave me the lowest possible price first time. I was speechless and with out a comeback so this way we spent more time focusing on what the car had and didn't have. At delivery time Gary went over every inch of the Volvo. So if you want a no nonsense deal look for Gary you will not regret it!!!!! More
