This was also my first service experience at Rallye BMW and I was completely overwhelmed at the lack of customer service. The car was going in for a simple oil change after having the car 4 months and not having any major issues. I decided to wait for the car since it was only an oil change. Once checking in at the service bay I was not told to speak with an advisor - just to go and wait in the waiting area and they would call my cellphone when the work was done. Two hours later I'm still sitting in the waiting area (my cell phone is working but no call from Rallye; checked home phone just in case - no message; checked work phone - just in case but no message). I go to the service reception area to find out how long an oil change takes only to be told the car was done an hour ago and they were waiting for me. HUH???? The paperwork indicates that I'm waiting for the car and no one had the common sense to call my cellphone or maybe come and look for me? Is that too much to ask? I was referred to my service representative - Matt Carlson - whom I've met - to find out what happened. He offered a lame excuse that the guys in the service bay had gotten "slammed" with cars that morning. I agree it was crazy, but that has nothing to do with me not getting a phone call or an in person consult with my BMW service advisor. One my my main reasons for purchasing from Rallye BMW in Westbury was that it came highly recommended by one of your customers, Mark Heinemann. Wow - were we both stunned with the total lack of customer service. More
I have to say that ralley BMW. Has amazing service department , all of the employee's are very kind and helpful. Kevin Cone was extremely helpful and knowledgable . I dropped off my car after work the department , all of the employee's are very kind and helpful. Kevin Cone was extremely helpful and knowledgable . I dropped off my car after work they kept the car in over night did my annual service includding software updates. When I finaly picked up my car I was impressed by the service my car was washed and ready to go I don't even think I waited for the car. I will say this I originally purchased my vehicle from Bayside BMW, and left them for the terrible service. I will never bring my business back to Bayside BMW again. My next vehicle which will be the X5 will be purchased from Ralley BMW!!! More
I decided to purchase a BMW because of the reputation that they had with the service and maintenance for their cars. Unfortunately when I talk to my other friends with BMWs that get their services from o that they had with the service and maintenance for their cars. Unfortunately when I talk to my other friends with BMWs that get their services from other dealers, their experience is definitely much better than mine. Rallye did give me a good price on my car originally, but are rather cheap on the service side of things. When I had a minor issue with my oil level, I was told to find Castrol GTX oil and top it off myself. And when I couldn't find that oil, as not every place carries it, the information I got about alternative solutions was rather inconsistent. In fact, after I topped it off with Mobil 1 Synthetic oil, there was a problem with the car's crank/start-up. This got me rather upset, and in May 2011, I took the car to have it serviced. At that time it was about 11 months after I had purchased the car. I suggested that they check the crank mechanism, there was a recall on the car that they took care of, and I suggested that they change the oil for it as well as the oil was not changed since the car was purchased (and quite frankly this was an 2010 model that probably had the original oil in it from earlier that year never changed). I was told that even though the oil level dropped, leaving me to top it off, that I couldn't get the oil changed. The reasons given me was that I only had 10,000 miles on the car (which I still think is absurd not to change the oil for that long) and that I was a couple weeks shy of a full year since I purchased the car. So I didn't have the oil changed at that time, however, had the service done, which worked out ok. Literally two or three weeks later, I received a phone call telling me that I need to bring the car in for an oil change as it was "now due for one." I asked to schedule an appointment, and found out that I was expected to sit at the dealership for 2 hours as they service the car for an oil change. I told them that I didn't have time in my busy schedule for that, and they refused to offer me a service car (a common method used by other BMW dealers from what my friends have told me). This made me furious, as I had left the car with Rallye just a few weeks earlier asking them to change the oil then, and they refused! That system is just absolutely absurd! What's worse is that when my wife ended up taking the car to the dealer for the service, they told her that she can probably wait another few months to get it done. The reason given was that the car may have needed another service in the near future. It's a good thing that I was not there in person, because I would have probably made a scene. I called and insisted that the service be done that day, and finally it was taken care of after much grief. I am sorry to say it, but Rallye's reputation for service in my opinion is poor, inflexible, and inefficient. I will definitely NOT buy another BMW in the future, even though the cars themselves are phenomenal. More

The Rallye dealership is superb. I have a few BMW's from different dealerships, but Rallye's service is far superior. My sales representative, Denny Kwon is amazing and calls to check on me/remembers my vo different dealerships, but Rallye's service is far superior. My service advisor, Dennis Deljannin, is the most professional, efficient and genuinely kind advisor I have ever worked with. Rallye makes me even more proud than I already am to be a BMW lover. I brought in our 2006 BMW 530xi (which we purchased CPO in 2007 out of state) to the sevice center at Rallye in November 2010 because I kept having to add oil to the engine. They replaced the cylinder hea in 2007 out of state) to the sevice center at Rallye in November 2010 because I kept having to add oil to the engine. They replaced the cylinder head gasket which seemed to have alleviated the problem with the oil leakage. Which I was told was a lengthy job and involved going into the engine. Thanks goodness this was covered under the warranty. However, subsequently over the next several months we had various issues with the car including strange noises coming from the engine, the check engine light coming on and off, and difficulty starting the car. Originally, they found no issue with the car. Keep that in mind. In February and March of 2011 the car began stalling out completely and at random. My husband and I took the car in on 3 different occassions for the SAME stalling issue. The diagnosis ranged from a defective map thermostat to a defective oil sensor. After the 1st time the car was returned to us, I was driving with my 19 month old baby on the parkway when the car engine cut off leaving me with limited ability to control or stop the car. It was a very scary experience for me especially since I was nearly hit by another car. We took the car in and was assured the problem will be fixed the 2nd time around. We were given a lengthy explanation of how a defective map thermostat could cause stalling (which I found hard to comprehend) and was ASSURED that the car was fixed and safe to drive. Rallye returned the car to us and after several days I had a similar, terrifying experience with the car shutting off as I was exiting the highway. I had difficulty controlling the car and bringing it to a stop. My husband then drove the car (since it seemed to restart fine after stalling) and noticed several stalling episodes himself. When he returned it to Rallye Service describing how dangerous it has been to drive the car, they assured him that they would solve the problem and road tested it for a week. My husband called at the end of the week on Friday and Saturday to get an update and never received a call back until the following Monday telling us that our car has been ready since Friday. Not being called back is frustrating enough, then we were told that the problem is finally fixed and they replaced an oil sensor. My husband argued with the service advisor saying that he could not see how that is related nor did he believe that was causing the stalling. He ASSURED him that the car was fixed and SAFE to drive. My husband swapped the car seats back into the car and didn't make it 10ft out of the service center before it stalled AGAIN. At this point, he was beyond furious and demanded to see the Service Manager. He came out totally clueless to the matter. He asked him why he was unaware of a car with such a dangerous problem that has been here 3 times. He would only tell my husband that he would look into it. My husband called Customer Relations and they pledged to look into the matter. It was returned to us for the 4th time days later with the service center claiming an alternator problem. Their attitude was basically...well it's fixed now and that's it! As anyone would imagine we did not feel confident that our car was worked on properly and feared that we now have a defective car due to Rallye's shady, unprofessional and irresponsible actions. My husband emailed and called the dealership on several occasions including BMWNA customer relations for weeks to explain this horrendous situation with the assumption that we would be compensated on some level. We were not treated fairly and we truly felt that we should have been compensated for the horrible and inexcusable behavior from Rallye BMW. Granted all the work was covered due to our warranty, but honestly that really doesn't matter because we were inconvenienced on multiple occasions, was not treated fairly, experienced very dangerous episodes and was left with a car that we no longer trusted because of Rallye's shoddy work. Well guess what? We got NOTHING! Not even a complimentary oil change!! They basically showed us that they could care less what we went through and that they have absolutely no regard for us as customers. This is the worst customer service that we have ever experienced. Also BMWNA is not any better because they basically didn't do anything to rectify this dilemma. I really enjoyed my car. It was truly a great vehicle until I let Rallye touch it. Since we had no confidence that the car was serviced correctly, we traded it in for another vehicle (obviously elsewhere). NEVER EVER, EVER GO TO RALLYE BMW. More
