The people at Quality Chevrolet epitomize what most American think of used car salesmen. Even though I was at the new car section, they clearly belonged across the street on the used car side. I had be American think of used car salesmen. Even though I was at the new car section, they clearly belonged across the street on the used car side. I had been in communication with Richard on a new car. When one became available he texted me and said "Hello Mike, I just spoke to my sales manager and he let me know the vehicle is still getting prepared to be brought out but he does not want you to miss out on it. Can you head over now to go over all the information and options?" I quickly replied "Yes I can. Address please" then followed up seconds later "Heading up now", then a couple seconds later wanted to let them know that I was coming from a distance; "from Chula Vista" When I arrived I looked at my phone to get the salesman's name and i saw a text that I got while enroute to the dealership saying someone else is already buying the car.... from Richard, the same guy that told me to head on up. Today, Quality Chevrolet in Escondido showed their true colors. That all they care about is the sale not the customer. I spoke with Richard and asked him if it was OK to tell a customer to drive up from a distance telling him " .... does not want you to miss out on it' and then selling the car right from under me. he would not answer. In other words he had no opinion because it's all about the sale and not the customer. All Quality Chevrolet want to do is make a buck and they do not care how they make that happen. Then I spoke with the General Manager, same story from him. I told me they work solely on a first come first serve. So, does not matter that I'm driving from a distance. I told him no one told me first come first serve. That would be critically important for customer coming from a distance. I showed him the texted messages and nowhere did it ever mention first come first serve. Why? Because its's all about the sale and not about the customer. To further prove this. After about ten minutes with the general manger, I told him what really disappoints me about our discussion is that he had not even mentioned anything like "what can I do to make it right for you?" The reason is because they are all about the sale and not about the customer... that never even enters these folks minds. I called another dealership and they said when the car becomes available they would call all the folks on their list BUT that when they get a taker they would definitely not sell the car from under them. Yea, Quality Chevrolet look like a new car dealership, but they have used car sales mentality. More
Took truck in for rear differential pinion seal leak the first appointment, they kept truck almost all day to come and say they didn’t have the part until couple days later. Took truck back once part was in first appointment, they kept truck almost all day to come and say they didn’t have the part until couple days later. Took truck back once part was in they kept all day, got truck back with the same problem! Pinion still leaking. Called dealer again, they want us to take it back…. All I have to say is that repair service sucks! Very disappointed! More
Went car shopping yesterday to try to find my wife a new mom car. I was planning on stopping at every dealership on auto park way to see what’s out there and see how this crazy car market is. I stopped at mom car. I was planning on stopping at every dealership on auto park way to see what’s out there and see how this crazy car market is. I stopped at quality Chevrolet first, and was helped out by Jacob Trippy. He helped me navigate different options, listened to what I was looking for, and he made us the perfect recommendation. I didn’t even go to any other dealership… Paperwork was a breeze and Jacob + manager, Richard, got me to my perfect monthly payment. They truly made me feel like this car market isn’t even crazy. Big thanks to Jacob on helping us with our brand new red hot Chevy Blazer! More
Salesman lied 2x. Initially he told me the dealer installed paint/fabric protection package was included in the price he quoted me. "That's one of the advantages of buying from us". I wrote this down installed paint/fabric protection package was included in the price he quoted me. "That's one of the advantages of buying from us". I wrote this down and had him look at it and verify what he said. 3 months later, he tried to add $1460 claiming he never said it was included. He also lied about making sure I got the $1000 Costco discount even if it expired. "If I have to lower the price by $1000 I'll do it. I'll take care of you". When the rebate was about to expire he changed his story and asked me to sign the purchase contract even though the vehicle was not delivered. This action started my GM warranty. But, I didn't receive the vehicle until 3 weeks later. Lastly, I waited 7 months to get my vehicle. Salesman told me 3 months max. The vehicle was built and ready to ship on November 24th but neither the salesman or the manager did anything to contact GM to find out why and get it shipped. I asked them to do this verbally and by email. Zero response. I finally got the chevy customer service number and filed a complaint with GM regarding the delay. 3 days later a GM representative called me to tell me she got my vehicle loaded on the transport truck and it shipped. The salesman, manager/owner, and GM all failed at their job. The manager/owner responds to reviews like this with a pre-written responses. He is full of it. Nothing ever gets resolved. And I bet his secretary is the one posting his nonsense canned responses. It seems Mr. Singleterry doesn't give a xxxx about our complaints. The deceptive bait and switch practices have been going on for a long time from all the reviews I've read on various sites. He knows about it and I would bet you he promotes it because the only thing they care about is money. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY THERE. The salesman actually had the gaul to plead with me 2x to give him a good review via the GM survey I would receive so he could get his quarterly bonus $. Good reviews are EARNED From great service! Not lies and incompetence. More
We can't disagree with the other raters more...quality of professionalism and respect we received while looking to purchase a new 2021 Chevy Traverse was outstanding. Our sales person was Eduardo "Eddie" and professionalism and respect we received while looking to purchase a new 2021 Chevy Traverse was outstanding. Our sales person was Eduardo "Eddie" and he is top notch. The price we agreed on was compatible with other dealers in the area with compatible other car models. We are replacing an older Traverse and since we loved that car, decided to buy a newer one. Not only was Eddie the best salesperson we ever met, but the manager Junior and the finance person John all treated us with respect and courtesy. There was never any pressure from anyone and we honestly felt the deal was fair. I wouldn't hesitate to buy here again. More
The price advertised versus the price they tried selling me the car for is not the same. The car’s price magically increased by a 3000 dollars. This is similar in my opinion to a bait and switch trick. Extr me the car for is not the same. The car’s price magically increased by a 3000 dollars. This is similar in my opinion to a bait and switch trick. Extremely unprofessional. Also, when I asked about a price breakdown to figure why the price increased so much, the salesman blatantly told me they don’t do price breakdowns. What kind of dealership doesn’t do price breakdowns? I would not recommend anyone trust their advertised prices or do business with this dealership. More
They tried to charge me an extra $3500 without my knowledge!!! The advertised price was $25110, I was told I was going to pay $25110 I agreed to thsi price. I get my finace paperwork and the price ma knowledge!!! The advertised price was $25110, I was told I was going to pay $25110 I agreed to thsi price. I get my finace paperwork and the price magically went up $3500 from the price listed on their website. When I brought this up they said "they were doing me a favor" by giving me some of the incentivies they offered. I was not the only customer this happened to. While I was there I heard 3 other customers complaing it happened to them. More
Just as the most recent March 2021 review notes, it appears as though Quality Chevrolet practices deceptive advertising. Buyer beware. We had an agreed upon price through discussions with a salespers appears as though Quality Chevrolet practices deceptive advertising. Buyer beware. We had an agreed upon price through discussions with a salesperson through email and over the phone. Went in to pick up the truck and the sales manager Manny increased the price by $1400 for paint and interior protection they claim has already been installed. They refuse to sell the vehicle for the online advertised price. VERY deceptive! Look up the definition of "Bait and Switch" and it describes the exact practice that Quality Chevrolet is conducting. Be careful with your money. I've purchased 6 other vehicles already this year at other dealers and have NEVER run into this type of deception before. More
Dealer ship offers a very low price online and then when you contact them they tell you they added additional after market items that pump up the price. Shop at your own risk. you contact them they tell you they added additional after market items that pump up the price. Shop at your own risk. More
xxxxxxxx Once they rope you in with a good advertised xxxxxxxx Once they rope you in with a good advertised deal they put on the contract all kinds of add ons. Like "paint protection" (wax) interior xxxxxxxx Once they rope you in with a good advertised deal they put on the contract all kinds of add ons. Like "paint protection" (wax) interior protection (scotchguard) and "anti-theft" which is just some metal stickers on body panels (thieves have razor blades lol) Fuzzy math lies and deception. I should have walked. Denied my an incentive but were dumb enough to write it in the paperwork-complaining to GM Financial. Once you see the "four square" and all they want to do is talk payment RUN I should have left and I am better than this. More
