Problem not addressed I had my 2013 Dodge Journey towed into the dealership after my battery was dead and the car told me that the key was not detected. When I tried to jum I had my 2013 Dodge Journey towed into the dealership after my battery was dead and the car told me that the key was not detected. When I tried to jump the car, the battery charged enough to turn on lights and stop telling me the key was not detected but wouldn’t turn over. The dealership told me that the key fob needed to be replaced and that was the only problem. Even though I was not convinced that was the problem, I picked up my car and drove it off of the lot. After a few hours, I tried to start the car again and I was experiencing the same problem as before I got it towed including the key fob not being detected. It jumped that time and detected the key. When I called the dealership, I was told that it was all checked before I picked it up. If I wanted them to look at it again, I would have to bring it to them again and would be charged again for everything that would be done. My husband decided to do it himself and it was a bad battery the whole time. I am questioning whether or not they actually checked what they said they checked and if the key fob was actually bad or it was just a dead car battery the entire time. I was charged a lot of money for no progress and I will not be returning my car to the service department at Ray Brandt. More
