Simply the best car-buying experience! Wes was extremely helpful while we took our time to research the car that best fit us for the right price. He respected our AAA price and even matched a slightly lower price that we received from another dealership without any hesitation. Unlike other dealerships, we were not pressured to make the purchase immediately or lose the price. In fact, due to personal reasons, we had to delay our purchase into a new month (by which time the AAA price expired) and Wes kept his word and respected the first price - there was no need to re-negotiate! It was well worth the trip to Fredericksburg from DC!!! We came in on a Sunday and Wes was off at the time but Kent Smith took over and was really outstanding! He respected everything that we agreed on with Wes and ran the process smoothly and professionally. We are very satisfied with this purchase and highly recommend this dealership! More

I am particularly concerned about the treatment I receive from sales people I taught ethics at the US Army War College for several years (I am always looking for examples of bad ethical behavior). I have had some bad experiences at numerous dealers over the years. Pohanka Honda did not change the price given me over the phone; other dealers often deny that they quoted that price and offer you a new set of numbers when you show up for the "deal." More
I have given you this rating because everything I have rated is true. This dealership was beyond my expectations. It was hassle free and all the people were so polite to us. Sales, Finance and even the G rated is true. This dealership was beyond my expectations. It was hassle free and all the people were so polite to us. Sales, Finance and even the General manager spoke to us. The hole Honda team at Pohanka was very nice. I now have a new Honda and a new place to shop for Hondas from now on. I just hope that every car shopping experience in the future will be as nice as this one was. I was in the market for about 2 weeks to do my homework about buying new car. I looked around lot of dealers in NOVA area but Pohanka Honda gave me best rate and not only their great friendliness environme about buying new car. Although Pohanka is at 60 miles away from my home but when i reached there around 8:15 PM, Kent had arranged my car with tag on it for test drive. I had been looking at buying another car, preferrably a van,the car that I owned (still own) before I bought the used one through Pohanka Honda has been a great car. So I went to that dealership assuming..that they would help me out in getting another car, hoping that they would give me a good deal...you know...owner loyalty type thing. Well. That didn't happen, I felt like I was being put in front of a firing squad with all of the questions and proof of income and whatnot, heck I had to show some pretty personal information that I just was not willing to give. I don't think the FBI asks that many questions. They did not look at what I did as a customer when I previously purchased my car through them. Then a friend suggested calling Bill Hamilton, at Pohanka Honda. So I did, I told him what I had wanted and he said that they had a van, well...at the same time that he told me that, the van was in the process of getting sold. Bill called me later and told me the grave news but said that he had another one that was older and that I should come look at it. At the same time the old dealership that I had bought from previously was also calling me saying that they could help me also.I about went out of my gourd. I felt so overwhelmed that I called Bill and told him forget it and did the same for the other dealership. A little while later, Bill called back and said just come and see what we have, I won't put you into something that you won't like or can't afford. Just come and see me. I took my friend that referred me to Bill and we had a BLAST looking at all of the different cars that were on the lot. Bill looked at all of my options, looked at everything that he had on the lot and found this GMC that someone traded in on a Honda. What a peach, the car not Bill :)~ This vehicle is awesome, it's not a Honda but Bill got me a good, safe car that I can afford. I will definitely come back when things are financially better and get a Honda or another car that he will find for me. From Pohanka Honda. We arrived early and since Barbara had other customers, she grabbed Ken to work with us. We stated our firm limit on price for the Element as well as the hard trade-in value for our two cars. There was no haggling, no undercutting our price with more negotiating followed by "Let me check with the manager". If there was any haggling over the price, then it was between Ken and the staff. In addition to the people, the dealership showroom was set up to make the customers welcome. There was plenty of space, the desks weren't crowded together like some dealers only wanting to get as any people in as possible. The waiting area had coffee, tea, and water for sales customers as well as those waiting for service. Overall a wonderfull experience. More
I got in touch with Jay Scaramozzino from Fredericksburg Pohanka Honda by chance after I submitted new Honda Pilot search request online. Number of other dealers approached me minutes later on the phone or by mail, but from the beginning Jay (who actually was the first one to reply) stroke me with his straight forward approach. He answered all my questions about fees and incentives and got committed to get me the best deal. In couple of minutes after we had confirmed all the details of what I was looking for Jay gave me an offer so good that I didn't need to bargain as I was preparing for. I actually used his offer later as tool to work down the prices of other dealers, who had the color and trim I was looking for, but nobody could come even close to what he offered in the first couple of minutes of our communication. This was so unlike my other car buying experience, I felt that I can trust Jay and that there are not going to be deceiving tricks and games so often played by other car dealers. When eventually Jay got the car I was looking for and I was in the dealership to finalize the deal there were no surprises and last minute change of incentives and additional conditions. The price was exactly what we had agreed on. I had an approved loan from my bank, but because I was late in the dealership and the bank office was closed in minutes I got financing through Honda, which was very close to what I was offered by the bank. The dealership facilities are beautiful and everybody was very friendly. There are free coffee and cool drinks available, lounge with TVs and even kids room with toys, where my kids spent the time during the deal signing. Jay was knowledgeable about the car's features and spent a lot of time (hours after his shift was over) explaining how everything works and helping us through the initial setup of the navigation and the hands free phone system while the kids were already watching a movie at the back seat. I am very satisfied with the whole car buying experience - it exceeded all my expectations. I felt treated like a friend and I would highly recommend Jay Scaramozzino from Pohanka Honda in Fredericksburg if you are considering any Honda model, his commitment and service are exemplary. Came in to purchase a new Ridge Line, they were friendly and courteous. The group price given was the price paid. They want to sell a car, but if you have issues they do not want to work with you. I had issues with the ride on my 2010 new car, 4 days old took it into service, "couldn't find anything wrong". I called 3 days later, asked to upgrade tires, they gave me an outrageous price. I recieved a better price from a retail tire dealer. It improved the ride some. I broke the clip that holds the seat release in the trunk, took it by for service, to replace a 50cent part, they can't do it, but we can sale you one. Remember this car is a month old with 1600 miles on it purchased from them. (and the second 2010 vehicle bought from them) I feel cheated. I consider car buying pretty stressful but Jay made it an enjoyable, no-pressure experience, so I would and have highly recommended him to my peers that tell me they're in the market. Makis also made himself available to us to provide credentials and incentives to purchase from his dealership. His approach was also low -pressure and we appreciated his taking the time and interest in us. My family has purchased multiple vehicles from pohanka and it is always a good experience. I plan to always consider this dealership first for my vehicle needs. Oh yeah, Jay's the best! Lol More
