FIRST OF ALL, YOU SHOULD BE VERY PROUD TO HAVE HIM AS AN EMPLOYEE. AS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, HE WAS THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF YOUR DEALERSHIP THAT WE ENCOUNTERED. THE WAY HE HANDLED MY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE C EMPLOYEE. AS FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, HE WAS THE FIRST IMPRESSION OF YOUR DEALERSHIP THAT WE ENCOUNTERED. THE WAY HE HANDLED MY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR I WAS INTERESTED IN WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL, EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, AND ONE OF THE REASONS I CHOSE A HONDA. ALL THE PEOPLE THAT WE (MY SON AND I) ENCOUNTERED THERE WERE FRIENDLY AND VERY NICE. BILL HAS AN EXCELLENT SALES STRATEGY, HE WAS HONEST THRU THE WHOLE PROCESS. HE DIDN'T TRY ANY UNDERHANDED SALES TACTICS, AND HE DIDN'T INSULT OUR INTELLIGENCE. WHEN WE MENTIONED LEAVING TO GO EAT LUNCH AND GO TO THE TOYOTA DEALER TO LOOK AT A COROLLA AGAIN, NEITHER HE NOR THE MANAGER TRIED ANY HIGH PRESSURE TACTICS TO GET US TO STAY AND I APPRECIATE THAT VERY MUCH. THEY HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THEIR PRODUCT. AS FOR QUALITY OF WORK, EVERYTHING WAS DONE PROFESSIONALLY AND AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. THEY GAVE ME A DEAL THAT I COULDN'T PASS UP. EVEN WITH HAVING ALREADY LOOKED AT A TOYOTA COROLLA WITH 0% FINANCING, A LIFETIME WARRANTY, FREE OIL CHANGES AND INSPECTIONS FOR LIFE. I currently own a 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid. I took my car to Pohanka of Fredericksburg for the first time for required maintenance. While waiting for my vehicle, I spoke with Sandy Russell as I was interest to Pohanka of Fredericksburg for the first time for required maintenance. While waiting for my vehicle, I spoke with Sandy Russell as I was interested in purchasing a used vehicle for my daugther's graduation gift. Sandy Russell was very knowlegeable of vehicles, and I was very impressed with her warm personality. We immediately connected and I felt as though I was speaking with a friend. She was very receptive to what I was looking for and we test drove a couple of cars. The initial car I test drove was higher than I wanted to spend on a used car for my daughter, and I was shown a number of other cars. I then met by a very handsome young gentlemen, Mr. Makis, who greeted me. I was really impressed that the sales manager took an interest in my purchasing a used vehicle. Not only was he wearing a very nice suit, he had a warm smile and sparkle in his eyes. I felt immediately that I could trust him. What impressed me most about my experience at Pohanka is that I was treated as though I was purchasing one of their top-of-the line vehicles. They were very attentative to my desires and did everything possible to make my car purchase experience pleasant. After I purchased the used vehicle, they agreed to hold the vehicle until the day of graduation so that I could surprise my daugther. I purchased the used vehicle with the understanding that I would return in a week to check on the options that I chose. When I returned a week later, Sandy Russell had staged the vehicle in front of the dealership with a big red bow and a gift basket with a teddy bear for my daugther for her graduation gift. My husband and I was so surprised that I felt like crying. I was so happy because it was obvious they put a lot effort into the small details. I was so impressed with the service that I received that I purchased another vehicle, a new 2010 Honda Civic Hybrid, for myself on that day. This was the first time in my life that I purchased two vehicles in one week. I would also like to add that I'm the customer that purchase new cars. I've purchased a new Mercedes Benz in 2004 and a new Honda Civic in 2008 from different dealers. I have never received the type of treatment that I received from the sales staff at Pohanka Honda. I am so happy with my purchase and the way that I've been treated, that I've told anyone that will listen to my story about how great I was treated. OUTSTANDING JOB SANDY RUSSELL AND MAKIS HODGE. Your personal touch made all the difference in the world. There have been numerous occasions in the past when I've visited a car dealership and walked out because the service was unacceptable. Pohanka of Fredericksburg is a phenomenal dealership, and I will recommend to anyone looking for a vehicle to start there. If you start at Pohanka, you will definitely leave pleased. Additionally, I was impressed with Makis Hodge as he took the time to show us the process of purchasing the vehicle and provided us with different options. Pohanka Honda epitomizes how car dealerships should operate. One last note, as for my car that was being repaired, the car was fully inspected and the only thing I needed was a car filter. I trusted Pohanka 100%. Prior to taking my 2008 Honda Civic to Pohanka, I was told by another dealership that I needed numerous repairs and additions. It's nice to know that I can go to a place that I trust and know that I'm not being taken advantage of as a customer. This was the best dealership I have ever bought a car from. I test drove a few cars with Barbara Barlow at Pohanka about a month before I purchased the new vehicles. I can't stand being hounded like a dog when I am looking on the lot. She came up to me handed me her card. I told her I was just looking and she left. I spent just over an hour on the lot looking on my own and decided to test drive two of the vehicles on the lot. During that time another salesman came up to me and I told him I was working with someone and didn't need his help. That helped a lot as the word got around to all the other sales people and nobody bothered me. I went back to Barabar and gave her the numbers off the windshields of the cars and we drove both vehicles. As I test drove the vehicle we made small talk and she described the vehicle as I drove it. Everything she said I had already read about on line so there was nothing she said that made me question her knowledge about the vehicle. I am skeptical when it comes to a sales person and listn very closely just in case they are making things up as they go. There was none of that with Barabara. When I finished test driving the vehicles I told Barabara I needed some time to think about it and she was very understanding, no pressure, no sales pitch, it was great. A month later I called Barabara asked her if she had the make, model and color in stock as well as the price I would be willing to pay. She stated she had one vehicle left and agreed to the price. I thought for sure there would have been a catch because of the price and the fact she said she only had one left. I expected to get to the dealer and find out it just sold before I arrived. Approximately 2-1/2 hours after I called, I arrived at the dealer and the car was ready, cleaned up and I took it for a test ride. Barabara kept her word and stayed at the dealership to make sure it did not sell for me. I came back from the test drive signed the paper work and left the dealer with a new car. There was no catch, no renogotiation, no hassle, no intimidation, no redirection, no scam. It was perfect. This was the 5th new car I purchased in my life time and exactly the way it should be. If you are considering a car, consider Pohanka and ask for Barabar Barlow she is great and can be trusted. I'm going back in two years for another new car as my children begin to drive. Thanks Pohanka and Barabara Barlow I will be looking for you in 24 months for another new vehicle. More

Great car buying experience! Danny Hicks with Pohanka responded quickly with competitive prices. He was upfront with me they did not have one of the trim levels I'd inquired about. No pressure and honest. He did advise me to clarify fees in addition to quotes I received and with them I would be responsible for VA taxes, tags/title and their $399 processing fee. I greatly appreciated that advice as it better helped me to compare apples to apples and weed out potential bait and switch sort of approaches. Fairfax/Rosenthal's quote was higher and there was an additional transfer fee (bottom line $1000 more) and despite Hendrick's in Woodbridge numerous emails and phone calls from multiple people they were evasive to direct questions regarding fees and if they had the car/colors I was interested in in inventory. This on the heals of my 2002 Honda shopping experience where they got me to the lot with a quote but then only had vehicles with additional (unwanted) cosmetic or installed accessories that brought the price back up. Despite not having the Civic EX-L I'd initially planned I made an appointment with Danny at Pohanka due to being the closest dealership and eager to test drive the Civic EX and figured I could pursue another dealership if ultimately I decided on the leather trim level. During the test drive I'd mentioned aspects of the Subaru I'd just driven that appealed to me and I'd given a passing glance at the CR-V online. I test drove that as well. Afterward I was more undecided on the car for me than when I walked in but Danny's honest no pressure style solidified I wanted to buy from him. His goal did appear to be me getting the right car for me. By the next morning I was sure the CR-V was it and completing the process was painless as can be. A part of me is leery of overly large dealerships with fancy coffee machines etc. But I was warmly greeted each time I've arrived and someone not only said but appeared happy to find Danny for me. Not slick or overly done just warm and honest. I'm tickled with my new CR-V and already gave a friend Danny's card. It's refreshing to feel I've gotten a good deal without the headache of haggling or the pressure I've experienced in the past. More
I found this dealer through my insurance company. I live in a different state but they made it very easy for me. Jay promptly answered all my questions (and I had a lot) and was upfront and truthful in all in a different state but they made it very easy for me. The Honda dealer by me told me that if Pohanka could sell me the car at the price that they said, then it would be worth the drive, and it was! I will recommend this dealer to all my friends and family who are in the market of buying a new Honda. Jay did a great job and am very glad that I bought my car from him. More
