I pretty much had the car I wanted in mind. I loved my 2003 Honda Accord and wanted to check out the 2013 model ( absolutely must be red.). Judaea Horn was wonderful to work with. She treated me like I was a friend, not just a customer. I was disheartened shen she told me there were no red Accords on the lot. She went out of her way to locate one for me and I was able to pick it up a few days later. I'm not sure I would have bought a car that day had it not been for Judaea. The price on our vehicle was $430. less than local , Virginia Beach ,dealerships could offer and we think that is worth more than 4 free oil changes/state inspections for life. Honda builds a quality automobile and with the basic vehicle bumper to bumper warranty honored at any Honda dealership, we feel that if we got a "lemon" we would know soon enough and deal with it locally. I want to commend the following members of the sales staff at Pohanka Honda; Cliff Jackson, Tamika Morefield, and Dean Stemple. We dealt with Cliff and Tamika by phone and email to buy the vehicle, we had test drove a comparable vehicle locally, and they were both very friendly/informed/accommodating . Cliff graciously fine tuned our choice of the vehicle by ordering pin striping and mud flaps We had Tamika as our delivery rep and she was very pleasant in setting up the sales agreement and prepping the car with cell phone set up and vehicle operation overview. Dean was the finance manager and he did a wonderful job of informing us of the dealer options for; warranty extension, paint/dent /lost key/glass etch/tire+rim replacement and was a good balance of salesman and educator. He also served us well in expediting the Va Registration and vehicle purchase documents. We have bought many cars for ourselves and our children. We needed our first nice, reliable, new car. We went to Pohanka knowing we wanted a Honda. But we also knew that being young and literally having NO credit what so ever was going to be rough. So in our search we found 2 vehicles, one we liked and one we REALLY liked. We knew when we first met Judaea Horn that she was committed and was going to take her time with us which meant a lot. After filling out the application and hours of crunching numbers and waiting we decided to go home and wait for a call from her. She called and said that she got us approved for our second choice which we weren't completely thrilled about. So we packed up and made our way to the dealership. We sat down with Judaea and she completely surprised us will exciting news! All that time she was doing everything she could to get us approved for the car we LOVED. She literally spent hours trying to work out anything she could because she knew that was the car we wanted. When all was said and done we were handed the keys to our new car that we love so much! Its exactly what we wanted and exactly the right person to get it from. We told her she need a raise for all the hard work she put into this. We were very impressed with her kindness and her want to help us and make sure we got what we wanted. She answered every phone call from me and made this experince so wonderful for my family and I. Judaea took my call and I basically stated I am going to buy a car for my wife today, provided my criteria, advised I was not in the mood to haggle over prices as I was all the way at signing the night before and that I had a bank draft in hand. Judaea listen carefully, summarized my discussion and asked if she could consult with her sales manager and promised to call within 20 minutes with a potential offer. Less than 20 minutes later, she called, sent me a pic of the car, informed me that she personally sat in the vehicle and that it met all of my requirements and then some. I informed her that my wife and I would be on our way to see and potentially close the deal. Before arriving, Judaea asked for some of my administrative information and promised to have the paperwork ready for our arrival. In fact, she was confident enough that we would love the car that she sent the car to detail prior to our arrival. We arrived, the car was immaculate, took it for a test drive, accepted offer, breezed through signing and departed the dealership about an hour later! That is how you buy a car - that is how you earn respect and loyalty! This is where we will go to buy our future cars. While the other Honda dealership was in our local area (Woodbridge) - I will not mention any names as I believe this was a management issue - not a salesmanship problem, I would have driven 500 miles to get this sort of service! I have always been a proud Chevy/GMC consumer and look forward to expanding our horizon's in our like new Honda CRV EXL.
