I have researched a lot and finally ended up at this dealership because of their very good reviews. I live in Lynchburg and local dealer is not as good as theirs. It was going to cost more to fix it than the car was worth but we were not necessarily prepared to purchase a new vehicle either. Tamika and her sales manager spent an extensive amount of time working out several possible scenarios (lease, trade in for a used vehicle, trade in for a new vehicle, ect). They approached the situation from OUR perspective and what would benefit us the most as opposed to how they could benefit as a dealership. After much discussion, it was obvious that purchasing new was the best option for us. We came into the dealership feeling hopeless about our vehicle situation and left with a brand new car. The price was RIGHT and they bent over backwards to make it work for us. They even helped in any way possible to reduce the amount of negative equity we had in the broken vehicle. They did everything possible to make it work for us financially! I cannot tell you how appreciative we are for Tamika! Finding honest, genuine, caring car sales reps is not always easy. Tamika conducted herself with integrity and she was a joy to purchase a car from. From start to finish she made us her #1 priority and she was genuinely happy to have been involved in rectifying our car situation. I’ve written a number of reviews for Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg over the years, and this review is just one more for the positive category. I currently own three Hondas that were purchased, and t Fredericksburg over the years, and this review is just one more for the positive category. I currently own three Hondas that were purchased, and that have been serviced by Pohanka since 1998 -- a 1998 Accord (250,000 miles), a 2005 Accord (105,000 miles), and a 2010 Fit (32,000 miles). All three cars have been serviced over the past three months for routine maintenance. Additionally, the two Accords have required immediate service on two different occasions, because of performance issues. Fortunately, my experience with serious performance issues hasn’t been routine with Honda. That’s impressive, given that I’ve been driving Hondas for almost 40 years. The 2005 Accord had a recent stall-out while commuting to Washington, D.C. on I-95. I had the Accord towed to Pohanka around 5:45 AM, and by mid-morning the problem had been diagnosed and resolved. The problem was minor with respect to an ignition relay switch failure, and it was replaced at a minor cost. Within the past month the 1998 Accord experienced a more potentially serious problem with both an excessive oil usage issue (VTEC malfunction), and a second gear pressure switch failure with the automatic transmission. Fortunately, and again with respect to the problems being diagnosed and resolved quickly, my cost was minor. Aside from the normal scheduled maintenance over the years, these two problems were the only issues that I’ve had with the need for an immediate repair. Finally, my 2010 Fit recently needed new tires. Tire selection for the Fit isn’t as abundant as other cars. After a little research and discussions with the Pohanka staff, I decided to go with a set of Yokohama tires (AVID Ascend) over the factory equipped Dunlop tires. These tires have proven to be excellent performers as an all-season tire, and their wear over time will be more durable than the Dunlops. Additionally, I was able to purchase the tires with an alignment and mounting at a competitive price through Pohanka. What more is there to say? Let me start off by saying that they gave me a great price. I checked with several other dealerships in the Northern Virginia area and the price offered to me by Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg was the price. In fact, it was the best without even having to negotiate. I did use truecar.com, but other than that they just gave me great prices compared to what others were offering. For the most part, I did not feel as if it was a high pressure sale which appealed to me as well. I talked on the phone before driving in as it was about an hour to an hour and a half away for me depending on traffic. I showed up to look at the car and get some accessories added. I went down to finalize the sale and pick it up two days later. I interacted primarily with Mr. Isaac Hawkins, but there were a few others who were involved as well. The whole time everyone was very friendly and worked with me to make sure I got what I wanted. I'd definitely recommend them to others in my area (Fairfax) regardless of the commute. More

About one month ago , we traded in our pathfinder and we needed a new family SUV. After weeks of looking at all the premium SUV's we decided on the Honda Pilot Touring, for our family. We live in northern Virginia, (northwest Loudoun County) and there are 3 Honda dealerships considerably closer then Pohanka of Fredericksburg. After pricing the vehicles, and test driving several, we were convinced that the Pilot was the vehicle for us, now it was just a matter of price AND customer service. Several of the dealerships near Dulles, were very.......... lets say nonchalant about the potential of gaining our business. Not so with Pohanka of Fredericksburg. They earned our business with hard work, honesty and made us feel that our business mattered to them. Greg Altman, Bill Hamilton and their entire team were awesome. We spent 6 hours there, and left with a Pilot Touring that had 3 miles on it. It drives great and the service and attention to detail from the Pohanka team was unbelievable. They took the time to explain everything, about the process, and they went through every option. They would not let us leave until we were completely satisfied and happy with what we purchased. I left there and felt like Bill Hamilton was a friend from the old neighborhood, though I had only met him that day. The experience was so positive, and the quality of the vehicle was so impressive that 3 weeks later I purchased a new 2013, Honda Civic for my kids, from my new "old friend" Bill Hamilton. Honda's are great vehicles and the reliability and quality of the vehicle speaks for itself. But if you are looking for that personal touch, that feeling that your business and opinion matters, then go to Pohanka of Fredericksburg, you won't be disappointed. 2 new cars in one month, and I have not regretted either purchase for a second.
