Pohanka Honda I have purchased or leased over 20 vehicles in my lifetime and this was the best experience in dealing with a dealership I have ever had. CarMax was a great experience but hands down, Pohanka Honda has thought of everything a consumer wants. I felt like I was the customer. There are only a few qords that descrivbe Richard Beauchamp. He is a gentleman and a very kind person. I started my experience with him on the internet and when I was done, I leased a top of the line Honda CRV. I really don't know whihc is better, Richard or my new vehicle. Truly a wonderful experience and Pohanka has all my business as long as I live in the area. I look forward to my next visit (service department). Thank you Pohanka and god bless Richard Beauchamp. More

The deal was set up through my bank but due to a ridiculous problem on my banks end everything fell to pieces. Kiley Canady had been working with me all day and the deal was falling through. The offer was extended to me very graciously from Kingsley Kwakye to walk away no harm no foul(except that I wasted everyone's time as far as I thought) even after I had signed the paperwork and had the vehicle fitted with extras. Mike Felice stepped up and made a financing offer that was fantastic and the deal was done. At no time was anything ever pushed on me nor was I ever treated with anything but the greatest respect from all three of them. I have used Pohanka for service in the past but this was my first purchase there. When the time comes I won't hesitate to return and purchase another vehicle. More
Another Great Experience! When we decided we needed a second car, we knew exactly who our "go to" guy was - Isaac Hawkins at Pohanka Honda. This is our third Honda purchase fr When we decided we needed a second car, we knew exactly who our "go to" guy was - Isaac Hawkins at Pohanka Honda. This is our third Honda purchase from Isaac and our fourth with the Pohanka dealership. As expected, Isaac is the consummate professional - concerned with what we needed and patient as we wound our way to a decision on what to purchase. Our decision was arrived at over several days of email to get the ball rolling, and then an in person visit to make the final decision. Once decided, Isaac moved quickly to get all of the details set - his understanding of our tight schedules and need to rapidly conclude the business portion of the deal was very apparent. On the next day, when we came in to finalize the paperwork, the car was ready when we got there and the finance folks were right on top of how we wanted to settle the deal. In summary, Isaac again showed his excellent ability to listen and to react positively to our expressed needs. And Pohanka staff did a great job - making the overall experience OUTSTANDING! More
Superstars of the Car Sales Arena Living in Southeast Virginia (Yorktown), my son just couldn't find the "right" V6 Accord within his budget locally. So, during the Memorial Day weeke Living in Southeast Virginia (Yorktown), my son just couldn't find the "right" V6 Accord within his budget locally. So, during the Memorial Day weekend we headed to Pohanka Honda in Fredericksburg to see if we could make a deal. Dana Wheaton greeted us on our arrival and quickly put us at ease, as if he were my son's long-lost uncle and by establishing common interests. Based on my son's stated desires, Dana showed us all of the V6 Accord's he had in stock...all just out of affordabilty for my son. Dana then started to dig deeper into how my son would be using the car, clarifying his requirements and budget. After this discussion Dana threw out some other ideas and got my son to drive a 2013 Accord Sport with only 7K miles on it. To make a long story short, Dana got us into an extremely low mileage car my son loves, at a price he can afford. I wish Dana and Pohanka Honda were closer to home, because I'm confident that their after sales support would be just as exceptional as the buying process. Right car, right place, right time! The entire Pohanka team stpped up to make this buying experience one of the best ever...they were still helping my son complete the financing and titling process well after their regular closing time. In addition to Dana (one of my new super heroes), I need to give special recognition to Tim Willis and Joe Rafanello for their help (above and beyond) in closing the deal and getting us on our way home with my son behind the wheel of his new ride! I was recently shopping for a 2014 Honda Accord EX. I made many visits to several Honda dealerships including Williamsburg Honda, West Broad Honda, Colonial Honda, and Mechanicsville Honda. However it was Pohanka Honda of Fredericksburg that got me to drive 45 minutes after work, stay out late and sign on the dotted line the same day with one phone call. Some special recognition goes to Mr. Richard L. Beauchamp III, Internet Sales Assistant Manager. His communication skills are impeccable and un-matched by anyone else I have talked to during my car search. First, he answered the phone, he replied to text messages, and he answered all my emails and silly questions never once hesitating to think that it was a silly question. Mr. Beauchamp was great at making me feel like he was doing all he could, all while giving me the best deal. He listened to what I wanted, giving me confidence that I made the right choice during my car search. The best part of my experience was that, Mr. Beauchamp beat my best offer from anybody else by a great amount. Never did I see the car, test drive the car, or meet face-to-face; the numbers alone made me agree to the deal. At the end of the night, I wanted to buy two cars or at least call my friends and tell them who they needed to talk soon if they were in the market for a car. Even the Finance Manager, Tamika Morefield, was super friendly and I went in her office thinking the worst. Once again, never once did she force anything on my wife and I or made us feel uncomfortable in the closing process. Ms. Morefield had a great attitude and showed exceptional professionalism with her pleasant conversation, all while informing us about all the wonderful extras we could purchase. Ms. Morefield is definitely an outstanding asset to the Pohanka Honda family. Based on my remarkable experience I would have to stop and ask myself a few simple questions? Do I like the car? Absolutely, it’s a Honda, enough said. Can I afford the payments? Mr. Beauchamp gave me what I asked for with a sincere polite smile, Check... I also appreciated the 5 or 6 other Pohanka employees who just walked up to congratulate us on our new purchase and gave us other helpful information about the car. My husband and I were deciding between 3 different Honda Pilots. After 2 hours of still being unsure of which Pilot we wanted, Mark took us over to the new Pilots. Knowing we did not really want a new Pilot, Mark was kind enough to humor our indecisiveness. Our decision process on choosing the right Pilot for our family took a total of 3 hours! Mark never once rushed us with our decision. Once we made a decision it was time to talk numbers. Mark was very fair and kind. There was no playing that silly game, 'let me talk to my manager' , back and forth, etc. Tim (the manager) came over and we finished up our number talking. At the end of day 1 (5 hours total) we did not agree on numbers. Mark and Tim walked us to the door, shook our hands and thanked us! Imagine that? We took up most of Mark's day, did not buy a car (at that point), and we still got a warm send off! Day 2 we were back at Pohanka, and looking for Mark! Again a warm, and kind greeting. After another 4 hour stint we ended up with the most wonderful Honda Pilot! Our family is thrilled! If you need a trustworthy, kind, polite, and knowledgeable car salesman Mark is your guy! We dreaded this process, but with Mark helping us out it made that car buying experience great! More
