Both Manuel and Chris were a pleasure to work with. I experienced excellent customer service and attention to detail. I gave this excellent rating because I truly enjoyed going to Penske to purchase my car. Unlike most dealers that are a drag and you can never come up with a good deal. Chris already had everything read going to Penske to purchase my car. Unlike most dealers that are a drag and you can never come up with a good deal. Chris already had everything ready for me and he offered me a great deal on the car. It was very fast and I was in and out of there within only an hour or two. Would definitely consider going back for my next one. More
It was the best buying experience I have ever had. From beginning to end. I asked for a price he gave me one. We compared it, when I showed him we had a slightly better one, they took care of it. Is one of our best experience with the dealership so far. Mr. Hernandez took his time to help us find the car that we need. One thing that we really like was we didn't get presured in buying the car. Great experience. Everything they said they would do they did. I was looking for the best price on a Civic LX Sedan with just the mud Guard and thats what they quoted me for and offered me when I visited the did. I was looking for the best price on a Civic LX Sedan with just the mud Guard and thats what they quoted me for and offered me when I visited the dealership. There was no add-ons like other dealerships where they offer a cheaper price but when you go to the dealership they add additional accessories to it. I am very happy with my purchase. More
This is the worst dealership I've visited in southern California. One of the sales reps treated me with disrespect, and even said at a point during our conversation "WE DO NOT WANT SALES LIKE YOU". And e California. One of the sales reps treated me with disrespect, and even said at a point during our conversation "WE DO NOT WANT SALES LIKE YOU". And even after I requested to speak with his manager, he offered no apology at all. I tried to contact the dealership manager, who was not available at the time, but his assistant took my name and number and stated that he will get back to me very soon. This was around three days ago, and I am still waiting for his phone call or apology. It seems that they do not like to work with informed buyers because they can not make the profit they desire. They send you one thing via email, and when you go there, you discover something else. Every time you inquire about an issue, they send you a partial answer, or give you misleading information. I told them about the MSRP for some of the dealer installed accessories, and they say we do not care, we price them the way we wish, and we do not have to abide by the MSRP. By the way, their price is at least 3 times that of the MSRP. They told me we cannot combine the cash back with the APR, because Honda does not allow them, but according to Honda's website and information from other dealers, "yes you can". I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALER; NOT EVEN FOR AN ENEMY. F.K More
Been looking for the 2009 Honda Fit, they had the manual and sport trim I wanted. Color was less to be desired, but I drove down there anyway to test drive. Archie was a friendly fellow, but you know what? and sport trim I wanted. Color was less to be desired, but I drove down there anyway to test drive. Archie was a friendly fellow, but you know what? That's how they always get you to be off guard. He chatted like no tomorrow during the test drive, asking lots of questions about me (just to see how much I'm enthusiatic about the car so that they can sucker me into buying). The price was way over MSRP ($2000 over). Plus, they did all the "classic" tactics of having you wait, grab a bite to eat at their BBQ stand, shuffle you around with other people while they do their magic sales numbers behind your back. I wish I could remember the other guy's name which was trying to haggle me for a "reasonable" price. When I questioned about the mudflaps and wheellocks on the sticker but didn't see it on the car, they simply said they were going to install them but can remove them off the price of the car. Geez, that lowers the price of the car, sure, but you're getting less too, which means you also have to lower your negotiation price. Not only that, they didn't bother to ask if I wanted them installed anyway. Well, after a bunch of mindless haggling, I only brought them down to $750 over MSRP (which is still $750 more than what I'm willing to pay). They said they had another buyer who was willing to pay cash for it at that price, so they can't go any lower. You know what? If the other customer (who I never saw) is very interested in buying $750 over MSRP, then that person can have it. That's nearly $1700 of profit for the dealer, when you account for the 3% holdback and $500 over invoice of the car. And practically all dealerships can make due on the 3% holdbacks anyway. I realize the 2009 Honda Fits are really popular right now. But you know what? Anything over MSRP is a rip, because you're not going to get that money back when you are ready to sell the car and buy a new one. It all depreciates from there. So would I recommend this dealership? No. They maybe friendly, but I would find that more dangerous than the dealerships who are rude to begin with, because these guys are slick and you may not even know that you're being ripped off. When buying my 2008 Honda Fit, I dealt with Bill Hall. It was by far the easiest, nicest, and best car buying experience I've ever had. Previously, I had visited several Honda dealerships near West L.A. The salesmen all used high-pressure sales tactics and tried to charge me well above sticker price. I emailed Penske Honda and Mr. Hall emailed me a quote. It was BY FAR the lowest of any other Honda Dealership in or around L.A.. No haggling, salespeople, or managers involved. He calculated the price (including tax, title, and license) for me. Sure enough, when I arrived at the dealership that's exactly the amount I paid. He didn't try to add, switch, or upsell me on anything. Mr. Hall answered every question, returned every phone call, and was always a pleasure dealing with. It's for these reasons that my wife and I drove an HOUR from West Los Angeles (passing about 10 other Honda dealerships on the way) and purchased our new car from Bill. I would gladly pass his name to anybody else who was looking for a Honda. More
Penske Honda has the best prices of any Honda Dealership in Southern California. I had been searching for a 2008 CR-V EX model in "tango red pearl" for 2 weeks! I was about to give up hope, because the in Southern California. I had been searching for a 2008 CR-V EX model in "tango red pearl" for 2 weeks! I was about to give up hope, because the other 7 dealerships I had contacted had been stringing me along, but were unable to tell me when the car would be in. Other dealerships that had claimed they could get the car for me, wanted to add several hundred dollars to the price for the delivery. Two dealerships (Rock Honda and Buena Park Honda) claimed they had what I wanted, but the vehicles turned out to have hundreds to thousands of dollars of dealer added extras that I didn't want to pay for. Penske Honda went way out of their way to obtain the car from Hemet, and were still willing to sell me the car for the super low price they had originally quoted me. The sales experience was very pleasant and low pressure. We weren't hassled to buy additional equipment or warranties that we didn't want. The salesmen and managers were genuinely nice and it was the most positive purchasing experience I have ever had at a dealership. More
