I came in midway through the financing process and I couldn't believe the shenanigans that were being pulled on my wife. They are shameless. I can say confidently that you will get scammed when you come here. There is no doubt. They will try every trick in the book. I suggest that you examine every single line item on your contract. And, when you do catch a "mistake" somewhere, watch out because Gil, the finance manager will try to stick it back somewhere else. Dead serious. The following is just one example of the many ways that you will get scammed here. The finance guy at this dealership will push for you to buy GAP insurance. Initially, he'll quote you $900 for a 3-year lease but will say you're going to get you a great deal at only $250/year. Sounds like a great deal, right? The only problem is that GAP insurance should only cost about $20/year! Their first excuse will be that their GAP insurance is more comprehensive. I guess it's so much better that it's 10 times the cost? Show your sales contract to someone who knows what he's looking at. I guarantee you that you'll find something amiss. More
Amazing customer service! I initially visited the Honda dealership across the street to purchase an Odyssey but was unable to get service after walking around the showroom for I initially visited the Honda dealership across the street to purchase an Odyssey but was unable to get service after walking around the showroom for approximately 15 minutes. I went across the street to Caldwell Toyota and i was greeted immediately by a smiling salesperson named Anton Gonch. Anton was very welcoming and made me feel extremely comfortable with the Sienna. He had a very informative but low pressure approach which led me to purchase a Sienna on the spot. He worked with my wife & I to make the entire process (including trade-in) very easy and we're excited about our purchase. The finance manager was also excellent and patiently worked with us to find a financing package that we were comfortable with. I will be a loyal customer for life. More

I knew I wanted a Toyota, that was a no brainer, it was just a matter of finding the right one within my price point. In May after a horrible experience at a dealership in Bergen county, my cousin suggested going to Caldwell Toyota which is actually about 20 minutes from my house. That day, I was looking to ""window shop" but then I saw this 2007 Toyota Camry XLE. The entire time I was looking at newer Corolla's but I really wanted a Camry because they are more spacious and fuel efficient. While browsing the lot Mynor came up and introduced himself to us. He must have noticed me looking at the 07 Camry because he gave me all the specs on it. Leather interior, sunroof, Bluetooth capability, push start, I couldn't wait to drive it. He got the keys and we were off. What a smooth ride. I wanted it. When we went to his desk to talk numbers, naturally, I asked for the Carfax and he got it for me with no problem. The report mentioned a recall for a part that Toyota should have replaced and he confirmed for me that it was done. We worked out some numbers, talked to some finance people and she was mine. No muss no fuss. I picked the car up a few days later once it was detailed. When I initially got the car, there was a slight imperfection on the rear bumper from a prior collision. Because the car was recently put on the lot, Mynor called me about a week later to tell me that a new rear bumper had been ordered before I bought the car and to come in to have it installed at no cost to me. I came in that same day. Now I'm really riding in style :-) Mynor also gave me a call when my plates and registration came in and even put the plates on for me. The other night I came in for service and I stopped by the sales floor to see if Mynor was around and he was. I bought my car in May and he didn't just remember me, he remembered my car. That surprised me considering the amount of people he takes care of on a daily basis. I had a great first time buyers experience with Mynor at Caldwell Toyota. He's very personable and has a great memory lol. I would definitely buy there again. More

Salesman Mynor Echeverria and manager John Carbone displayed a wealth of knowledge about the Camry that I financed. They seemed very genuine about what they did as well. Man.. those gentleman were on point and I really appreciated it.. Also the gentleman in the finance department Gil looked out as well. He offered great advice. If I know someone that needs a Toyota car I tell ya I would not hesitate to recommend Caldwell Toyota to anyone.. More

I was helped in my search by employee, Mynor Echeverria. After talking to Mr. Echeverria for a long while, during which he explained everything I wanted to know about the various makes & models, I decided to purchase a Toyota Corolla. I think very highly of Mr. Echeverria. He is knowledgeable, patient & honest. I had felt somewhat anxious walking into the showroom but, he soon put me at my ease. He explained, all of the financial aspects in detail. I trust him completely & I would certainly recommend him & the dealership. Thanks so much for a positive, pleasant experience! More
Exceptionally pleasant buying experience!!! My daughters and I were browsing for a car. We came by Caldwell Toyota to explore our option. Julio Vilchez showed us a variety of vans which were available in the lot that afternoon. The van just seems so big and we weren’t sure if that was something that we would buy. It was so big that I didn’t want to test drive it so I asked Julio to drive us for a test drive. He took us for a test drive and my daughters liked the van a lot but I was uncertain about the size. Julio told us to think about what we need so we can buy what we need and be happy with it. We came back with my husband on Saturday morning and looked again. He took us through the lot once more. We test drove the van. We came back in the late afternoon and bought the van. Julio thoroughly gave us a run down on the added fees, deals, and warranty. He wanted to make sure that we got the “newest” van so he searched for the new one that would off the delivery truck the following week so it would not have any mileage. This was our 3rd car purchase from Caldwell Toyota and it was again an exceptionally pleasant buying experience. Thank you! More

I met w I wanted to find a good, used car with low mileage for my price range. My brother researched several dealerships and one was Caldwell Toyota. I met with Elio Castaldo, who was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I went there initially to test drive a used Subaru, but did not like the car. I then test drove a Corolla and was pleasantly surprised, but unsure because it was smaller than I was looking for. We took his card and said we would think about it. He was no pressure and very pleasant to work with. I later on went to a Honda dealer where the manager, (not the sales rep) was high pressure and would not meet me halfway with my asking price. I left that dealership and went over to Caldwell Toyota. Elio was busy with another client and suggested I work with Alan Engert, who was also very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We came to a meeting of the minds on a great Toyota Camry, which turned out to be the best deal for me, along with an incentive finance rate. Honda lost a customer that day, but Caldwell Toyota gained a loyal one. Excellent experience. I hope they continue to keep the great customer service. More

We had gone to 6 other Toyota dealers to look for models and colors. Caldwell Toyota was our 7th dealer to visit. Anton Gonch and his manager John Contreras were extremely helpful and willing to order exactly what we were looking for. Anton was easy to deal with, not pushy, and very knowledgeable. He kept us informed of the status of the order and when the car came in, he spent all the time we needed to explain and set up the many features of our new vehicle. An overall great experience from beginning to end! I would gladly recommend Anton, John, and Caldwell Toyota to anyone looking for a new car. More
