Dear Brian,, Thank you for your thoughtful response and for taking the time to respond so quickly. I honestly wish I could have written a positive review about your dealership, but the excitement of my "new car experience" was short lived due to anxiety, frustration, and overall disappointment created by the formerly stated incidences. I purchased the vehicle either at the end of March or start of April and therefore, according to the time frame stated in your e-mail, Don was still the GM. If you would like, I can share the e-mails I sent to him. I also called Don, but I obviously have no record of those calls except for the sharing of my frustration with Sharon, when I didn't receive a response from him. I made the decision to write the review after receiving an apparent forced expression of regret from Gerry and when I didn't receive a follow-up call from a manager from your dealership or from your corporate office. Other than James contacting me to let me know someone was leaving for the DMV to register my vehicle, you are the FIRST manager to actually contact me regarding the poor service and outright disrespectful treatment I received. My intent for writing the review was partly for cathartic reasons, but in all honesty for the feeling and need for a sense of justice as well. Again, I truly appreciate your genuine apology and I wish I could have written a favorable review about Patriot Subaru, but to date, my negative experiences far outweigh the positive. Hi Subaruoutback, First, we wanted to again recognize your review, and appreciate you taking the time to express your concerns. We did reach out to you privately through the Dealerrater forum to get some more information, but we did not hear back. We do keep track of who goes out on test drives, but without more details of what you tested, a date, or a name/pseudonym we might recognize, we had to dig deep. We don’t question that you had an experience that was certainly not up to our standards, and that is how we embraced this review.  Our goal is to learn from it, as a team, and individuals. All reviews are read by the managers, and many are read out loud to our team in sales meetings to discuss. Reading yours,  it was pointed out that all sales associates and managers wear name tags to identify themselves.  The bigger issue was the exchange and dialogue between you and the sales associate, which by all accounts would be unacceptable, and certainly not the way we teach our associates to engage. Chris is a new sales associate for Patriot, but prior to joining us he worked at a Honda dealer in the area. He has 35 Dealerrater reviews to his credit, and earned a 4.9 star rating out of 5.  Many of the customer’s comments include that he has a sense of humor, very friendly, honest, and straight forward.  He’s also scored in the high 90’s to 100 on the customer’s direct reports to Subaru since being with us.   But, for what ever reason,  you and he did not connect on that level.  That is not an excuse, because we want every single person who comes through the door to feel great when they leave. You did not, and that’s what we will learn from. We are glad that you did purchase a Subaru, and hope that you enjoy it for many years.  In time, we hope that you feel that you can visit us again, and allow us the opportunity to earn your respect and confidence.
