We had one of the best car buying experiences ever! This dealership is very professional and we felt we honestly recieved the best deal possible. I took my commuter car in this afternoon to have the oil changed. Having recently leased a car and taken it in for service at Wilsonville Honda on two separate occasions, I was expecting a similar experien changed. Having recently leased a car and taken it in for service at Wilsonville Honda on two separate occasions, I was expecting a similar experience today. To my surprise, I was treated quite indifferently by the service representative when I dropped my vehicle off. After approaching the service desk, with no other customers present, I had to wait while two employees finished their conversation after which I was greeted with a blank stare. I stated the reason for my visit and handed my keys to the employee. She left and came back in to enter information into the computer. She did this for several minutes, saying nothing to me while she did so. In the middle of this, this employee was approached by one of the mechanics (I'm presuming) who stated that the "transmission fluid was black, like it's never been serviced before." I had no idea they were discussing my car until the customer service agent looked at me and sighed before saying, "well, it looks like your transmission and brake fluids need to be changed as well as your coolant" at which point she handed me a card with droplets of the various fluids on it. "See?" she stated. Instead of the price of an oil change, I was suddenly looking at >$250 in work. When I declined for today, the employee sighed and stated that it'd "just be the price of the oil change then." I'm not saying I'm a mechanic, but the attitude I received when I didn't leap at paying for the extra work wasn't something I was expecting, especially in light of prior visits. Happily, my car was ready on time, as promised. It wasn't, however, washed or vacuumed despite the fact that I was told when leasing my car from them that cars brought in to Wilsonville Honda for service of any kind always were washed and vacuumed. I live 20 miles from the dealership and certainly won't bring this car back here for service. I'm not sure I'll bring my other car back either. If I wanted this sort of treatment, I have a Honda dealership 5 minutes from my house. Very disappointed. More
Great people, great process & great response time. Our experience was the best yet & we own a number of Hondas. The process started on the internet and proceeded through two visits to the dealership. All the people we dealt with at the dealership were very nice, they were straight forward with the deal with only a little bit of haggeling on prices. When we could not get the vehicle right away they gave nice, they were straight forward with the deal with only a little bit of haggeling on prices. The dealership (Parker-Johnstone Honda of Wilsonville, Oregon) was not helpful and tried to sucker me into spending more than $100 for unnecessary service to retrieve a radio activation code. The service coordinator tried several codes without success and then told me that they would have to pull the radio to retrieve the serial number so they could look up the code. The cost to pull the radio was estimated to be more than $100. With no experience and using only some (unfortunately misleading) guidance available at a web site, I was able to pull the radio, read the serial number, and reinstall the radio in less than 15 minutes. Surely, an experienced technician would have accomplished this task in 5 minutes or less. The service fee of $100 borders on criminal. Even worse, I learned when I called Honda of America that there is no reason to pull the radio to retrieve the serial number. In fact, the serial number printed on the radio is missing a digit, so pulling the radio was a useless exercise. The helpful person at Honda corporate told me how to retrieve the correct serial number and waited on hold while I got the number. Then, she gave me the correct code to reactivate the radio, so I had an immediate fix. Why does the service coordinator at Parker Johnstone not know the procedure (simply a sequence of pushing buttons on the radio faceplate) to retrieve the serial number or have a reference that can tell her how to retrieve the number? Was this ignorance or is this a ploy on the part of this dealership to nickel and dime customers by trying to trick them into paying for unnecessary service? More

She patiently and consistently went above and beyond to address my concerns with this out of state purchase. What could have been a difficult transaction turned out very smoothly mainly due to Kimberlee's competence and attention to detail, and she did it all while maintaining a MUCH appreciated sense of humor and upbeat attitude. Kimberlee was probably THE best car sales person I have ever dealt with, my deepest thanks goes out to her for getting me into my dream car! More
Terrible experience at Wilsonville Honda!
